Hotel Guest Reviews of the Residence Inn By Marriott Chicago Midway Airport

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff was amazing and the free breakfast was very good!
The walls were fairly thin. We could hear the conversations next door, but they were elderly people who I think were yelling at each other so they could hear one another.

A short shuttle ride to the airport train station made the commute downtown very easy and convenient. For the free parking, ease of getting downtown and overall quality of the hotel, I would recommend staying here. The pool didn't have a hot tub, which was a mild disappointment.

HUGE rooms with kitchens.

I was really impressed with this hotel. I booked it at the last minute due to a flight cancellation, and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and size of the rooms, and the thoughtful touches like fresh, free cookies in the lobby, and a free bag of microwave popcorn in my room. The room was HUGE, really homey with a kitchen, fresh flowers, great artwork, and more.

The staff was friendly and helpful in every way. We felt welcome and like we were a part of the family.
The breakfast area needed more trays available. It was also a bit crowded in the morning.

Very close to Midway. Our shuttle drivers have always been very good to excellent, and the shuttles run on time. Limited number of restaurants (2) within the complex, but others are a short drive away.

The hotel was easy to find and the suites were wonderful. We traveled with four other couples and each couple's experience was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel - the staff was phenomenal!
There was no restaurant on site but there were options within walking distance just across the parking lot.

Suites were very well appointed. Bed was very comfortable - pillows too, which rarely happens. The staff simply could not do enough for us. They were wonderful. We left cars there while we traveled and did not have to park them in a far away lot. The shuttle service to Midway was prompt, courteous, and efficient. Excellent experience all around!

We loved the proximity to Midway Airport and the shuttle bus to the airport and to the hotel. That was a plus.

We stayed here for two nights. It was clean and inviting. On the evenings that we were there a light dinner was offered. We were weary with all our sightseeing and this was a bonus for us.

The Resident Inn was great. I love the bathroom design and the color of the room. The room was very cozy and relaxing.
The server at breakfast on Saturday was really rude, not just once, but twice. I suggest she attend a training on customer service.

Overall, my family and I had a great experience at Resident Inn. We will most likely stay at this hotel on our next visit. If you like an apartment style hotel this will be the place for you.

Salt water pool, comfy beds, separate bedroom, and friendly staff.
Artic blast in the hallway to/from pool. it's cold; it's really cold when you're wet!

Great hotel. Our kids loved the salt water pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The staff was friendly from the front desk to the people who were serving in the continental breakfast room.
Nothing

When we first arrived we were given a room that was a studio and was a smoking room which we were not happy with especially when I had specified that we needed two rooms with a door between. When I went to the front desk to complain, the woman was charming and changed our rooms with no problem. It was even closer to the elevator. The only problem was the pool was closed because a child had been sick in there which upset us but the front desk made arrangements to swim at a nearby hotel. ...read more
