Hotel Guest Reviews of the Residence Inn By Marriott Savannah Downtown Historic District
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 28, 2013

One of the reasons the hotel is in a good location is because of the FREE Cat shuttle that stops right in front of the building. You can park you car for your entire stay if you just want to stay in the Historic District. The Hotel is next door to the visitors center. At the Visitors Center you can catch a shuttle to Tybee Island for about $3.00 each way. The shuttle makes several trips each day. If you are a penny pincher like me and want a short river cruise, take the Cat shuttle and get off at the first River Street stop, walk across the street and get on the FREE cat ferry. Have you ever seen Ruby's show? This is the boat she is on in the opening credits. ...

My boyfriend and I had our first visit together in Savannah. We were so pleased with the location of the hotel which is next to the Trolley station and walking distance to the river. The staff was extremely customer service driven and made us feel very welcomed. We would stay there again.

I loved the hotel, but was disappointed about the vomit on my blanket and the lack of concern about that. We complained about the loud person above us, was told he was leaving and the next day was told he was going to be there all week. We would have switched rooms if we knew. We did not get to sleep in either morning and we were out very late the previous nights.
I wish they would have done something to make us a little happier. ...
