Hotel Guest Reviews of the Residence Inn Metairie/New Orleans
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Expect MORE from a Marriott and demand an updated room. They DO NOT discount during Jazzfest, so you will be paying full price at that time and deserve a room or apartment deserving of the name. The hotel is convenient and has been used by us many times in the past, but there is NO apparent interest in renovation or upgrade. The apartment needs new appliances, new paint, new furniture, and, most of all, new beds ... in other words, a complete renovation. There are other major chains now offering two bedroom suites, and for a Marriott price, you can do better. ...

An excellent choice in terms of ease of access to city, convenience to shopping, clean, comfortable with conveniences of home and good support for office-related communications and activities. Staff were uniformly helpful, pleasant and professional. Very pleased indeed!

We loved our stay at Residence Inn. We had a queen suite, and it was roomy, with the bed slightly separated from the living room, a full kitchen, and a small dining table. We had 2 adults and 2 young children, and it felt plenty spacious for us. I loved the decor and especially the nice big sofa (with sofa bed), huge desk for workspace, and large flat screen TV that rotates to face either the bed or the living room. The kitchen included full size refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, and toaster. Looked like granite counter ops in kitchen and bathroom. It was really a great, comfortable, classy space. The free, hot breakfast was awesome! A very full array of choices with a little variety from day to day, and you could tell they were sparing no expense. There is a nice, small pool and a hot tub, a grilling area, some sort of basketball court, and an exercise room. The area is pretty, clean, and feels safe and is super convenient to I-10. There were only one or two restaurants that I saw within walking distance (and no restaurant on-site, sadly), but we had a car, so that was not an issue for us. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only things that would have made this place better for us would have been a baby pool and a restaurant on-site, but I don't mean that as a criticism because it really was a great place for us and I love, love, loved it. Would highly recommend it to anyone staying for awhile and needing a little more space + full kitchen!

It was close to New Orleans while not having to deal with the crowds and lack of parking. It provided wonderful breakfast buffet as well as pool and jacuzzi for ourselves as well as our grandson. It was conveniently located for everything we had on our agenda for the week.
