The hotel is situated in a breath-taking spot, the proximity to the hot springs is wonderful and all the staff was very helpful. I appreciated the late check-out and promptness of staff and administration. It was a very pleasant experience overall.

parking is not free...

great hotel, fabulous rooms, great friendly helpful staff¿ the lobby lounge and fireplace is a favorite of ours and we have gone there many times after skiing.

Great location- good service staff, but lots of run around on pricing etc. refused to honor published promotional rates based upon fine print- turns out the offers were virtually unavailable and we felt this was an improper and misleading practice.
Misleading promotions- raised with managers (was put on hold for lenthy periods-vm etc.)who said they have a "right" to disavow any promotion based upon vague fine print. Said they are like an airline so their prices fluctuate; cant be bound by their ads.

Watch out for fuzzy misleading pricing promotions.

Sadly I probably wouldn't stay there again
Hotel was over loaded. I didn't get the room I had booked and hotel seemed under staffed

Sadly was really looking forward to our stay but will probably not go back.

The view and size of the room was amazing.

The views are breathtaking and the staff was very accommodating. We traveled with friends and had asked to be near one another. However we were given rooms 6 floors apart. They were happy to accommodate us and we were given a beautiful upgraded room near to each other.

They charged us for internet, for parking and extra charge for the room improvement.

I'm visiting Banff a lot and I lived in a hotel that is much smaller than Rimrock Hotel but it's was nicer and convenient than Rimrock.

poorly trained staff

the hotel closed it's pool and fitness area for 2 weeks maintainence the day after we arrived. No advance notice was given about this. No other areas to entertain children. Check in staff were supposed to contact us when the room was available; this never occured. We asked for a fire to roast marshmellows one night ; this never occured. We went for breakfast in the cafe; they were out of all baked goods. We were told this would be better the next day; it wasn't. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling. It is a nice building with staff who just don't care. After 2 days of a 4 day stay we realized we stayed at the wrong hotel for a pleasent family experience or even just a stress free stay.
