Hotel Guest Reviews of the Riu Montego Bay - All Inclusive
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 7, 2013

Make sure to make reservations for restaurant dining before you arrive at hotel because it will be booked up when you get there. Also it is sometimes difficult to find a chair out by the pool or beach due to other guests putting their towels on them very early in am to hold them.

The hotel had a nice setup, and it was a nice laid-back atmosphere to relax in. I liked the pool design a lot, although we would have preferred more chairs in which we could bask in the sun (as opposed to shaded ones). The beach was nice as well, particularly the quiet area further to the left. The food ranged from quite good to almost inedible. The salads were varied and good, but the beef was terrible quality. Typical American dishes were the worst choices. The jerk chicken was indeed delicious. Overall, it was great for a quick in-and-out trip to get some rays in a nice, easy spot. ...

access to sports bar.
The hotel had pretty much everything we needed on our vacation, and it is kept up pretty well. The all inclusive buffets are just average food, but it is what we expected. However, the Italian restaurant was very good. We felt like most employees at the hotel were borderline rude in the sense, that we were bothering them. There was also a lack of smiling from the staff and overall feeling of un-friendliness. ...

Good value for the money. The beds were very hard. Other than that, the rooms were comfortable.

Clean friendly but awful sodium filled food. Sodium was in Everything including water. There was nothing healthy to eat because it was either fried or filled with tons of sodium and msg. Place was nice, but food awful.

For the price of the hotel you can't beat anywhere in the world. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to get the most for their buck.

The hotel staff was decent, not overly friendly, and sometimes borderline rude. They didn't have our reservations in their system yet, so they held onto our passport, which was fine, but as a result, we didn't get the type of room we originally booked. The food was what you would expect a cheap all-inclusive hotel to provide. The pool was amazing, beautiful and had a cool swim up bar, barstools inside, and lit up at night. Probably the best part of the stay. Overall, I wouldn't think this hotel to be any more than a 2-2.5 star. ...
