Staff, Wine hour and pet friendly....although we didn't hv pets, it was an enjoyable experience. Our friends had a problem with the commode & it was fixed ASAP while we were out sight seeing. They were very impressed.
No, not really.

Please put 1 in Pittsburgh for our friends!!!

I thought that the hotel staff was extremely nice and the location is great. I took advantage of the free newspapers and happy hour every evening.
The hotel does have an older feeling and not all would like the decor which it keitchy..The food options were limited.

I believe the location added to the get the feel of the city and the surrounding neighborhoods where fun to explore. Within walking distance of cafe's and the National Mall. I would stay here again.

I generally enjoy the Kimpton hotel brand. The location of the Rouge was very good. I've stayed here before so knew what to expect. They have a good bar and staff is very friendly and helpful. This hotel could use a little TLC & an upgrade to their menu.
Good hotel. Again, could use some TLC. Our room in particular (606) could have use a little more overhead lighting.

Good location, only about a mile from the White House and just a couple of blocks away from P Street, which has a Stabucks, a couple of good restaurants, Stoney's bar and the Whole Foods. The bar is very good here, imo. Staffers are very nice, helpful, pleasant. Housekeeping is thorough, very good.

Gorgeous rooms, attractive decor and energizing and fun ambiance/vibe throughout all the public spaces. The fun robes were a neat treat! We could have brought our dog... how cool is that?!
I would suggest that the coffee table was too small and there were no side tables to the sofa, so there was no place to set a cocktail down without getting up. Just a thought! Also, switches on the lamps were hard to reach under the lampshades.

This hotel is an uber attractive space to call a temporary home and an easy button for the DC traveler. We love staying in boutique hotels that have small restaurants/bars and this fits the bill perfectly.

Hotel is nice, great room for the price.
It's a bit of a walk from DuPont Circle.

We were there for 6 nights over the Christmas/New Year holiday. Our room was a warm welcome from the cold temperature outside. The hotel is nice with nice spacious rooms. The bathroom is on the small side. There is a stocked refrigerator in the room that we asked to be emptied so we could store our own items. No coffee maker in the room but you can ask for one, then you have to ask for the coffee every morning. ...read more

Maid service was accommodating whenever I requested service.
Small bathroom, lumpy mattress, attendants gave poor directions & we got lost walking around downtown Wash, DC.

Not the best hotel, but also not the worst that I've stayed in. Probably won't stay here again due to far distance to Metro station. We had to walk too far.
