Hotel Guest Reviews of the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 29, 2013

Public bar on rooftop with excellent views. Hotel has No pool or jacuzzi, but has a rooftop gym next to bar with fresh fruit, water, and gym towels. Great rooms, fantastic staff, centralized location in Gaslamp quarter and right next to Petco Park (If a game was being played you could see the infield action). Concierge level on 21 has great complimentary breakfast food (eggs, bacon, pastries, bagels, cereals, fruit, coffee) if the hotel will give you access. Broken Yolk Cafe is just three doors up the street adn is excellent. The Old Spagetti Factory is just over one block west of the hotel entrance. Elevators require you to use a room key card to access Floors 8 through 21. First 6 floors are for parking (valet I assume). Downside was No refrigerator or microwave in room. Ice machines were almost always out of ice from people having to use ice chests. 17th floor room facing West overlooked some rooftops and windows were dirty. Probaly couldn't be cleaned because with the rooftop bar there is no room for window cleaning cranes and scaffolding. Ask for a high floor with a balcony. Also, daily parking is very pricey at $38 for valet parking or $17 in parking structure across the street (if you park overnight and tell attendant you lost your ticket) which is best if you park before 6 pm and leave after 8 am. ...

Nice hotel in the heart of Gaslamp. Parking with the hotel is a bit expensive, but easily can park across the street in a parking structure for a fraction of the price. Fun roof-top bar with Sunday All-day Happy Hour!

This hotel has great location in the Gaslamp Quarter. Lots of restaurants, bars, and clubs within walking distance. Beautiful spacious rooms also! Although I was woken up early by the next door shower being used. That would be the only bad thing about this hotel. The walls are very thin. But we could not hear any noise from the street which was great!

Right next to Petco park (which we enjoyed). The room was great, spacious and super clean. The bed was comfortable and the curtains blocked all the downtown light.

There's self parking in a secure parking structure literally across the street. The valet kindly informed us of at since we didn't plan to use the car while it was there and saved us 21$. Ten he let us leave our car curbside while we checked in and took our bags to the room so we didn't have to haul them across the street. Loved that they were more concerned about the guest (us) than lining their pockets. Great way to start the experience. ...
