Hotel Guest Reviews of the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 22, 2013

Stayed here for only one night, would have enjoyed a couple more nights here. I was completely surpsrised at the service, environment since I got such a cheap price. The customer service was amazing. I was able to check in a few hours early with no hassle at all, check out was a breeze, was able to keep my car in valet even after checking-out.

Would have preferred two queen beds in room. A double is too small for two people. Little noisy from hallway. Other than that all good.

The first thing I need to say is that the front desk staff for this hotel was excellent & I don't usually say that. After booking on Priceline I called the hotel a couple times to let them know I needed 1 of our 2 rooms to have 2 beds. Both times the people I talked to were friendly & helpful. When we checked in I received the same great treatment. I was concerned that since we got such a good rate they wouldn't work with us on our request but it was the opposite. The rooms were connecting & the number of beds was correct. My thanks to Mercedes, Katie & Tatiana for making our stay the best it could be.We were concerned about staying in the Gaslamp District but there was no need. While it was noisy on the street, once we got into our rooms, which faced the front of the hotel, we couldn't hear the street noise. I didn't even notice much noise from surrounding rooms which was a nice change from some hotels we've been in lately. The front desk area was inviting & the candy in the dishes was a welcome surprise. The rooftop bar had a good view of Petco field. The rooms were spacious & clean. The bath room was nice but I needed a little more counter space. The loofa was a nice touch. We were very glad to stay at this hotel & would stay here again. ...
