Hotel Guest Reviews of the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 2, 2013

The hotel had great views of both the city and the bay. The pools at the hotel were beautiful and you could bring your own food to eat by them. The staff were extremly polite as I mentioned above. The drinks by the pool wern't too badly priced ($6 for a large beer), better than the $8 the Hilton wanted for a can of beer... There is so much to do that is within walking distance of the hotel and you can walk out the door and get on the tram pretty easily as well. Lots of cheap ways to get around. ...

Was overall very pleased with my stay. The valet staff need some more training and skill attainment in professional behavior...that seemed a bit amateurish on Sunday afternoon. The front desk staff was highly professional and genuinely friendly and helpful (not fake). Love, love, loved the Starbucks and adjacent food in South Tower. Ate there everyday to avoid long lines at Conv. Center. Sunday brunch was good, but a bit pricey. Walking distance to everything. San Diego is a beautiful city. Hotel was clean, fresh, and the beds were divine! Very comfortable. Loved that the windows opened to a balcony for fresh air! ...

Most people probably travel a lot more than I do and would perhaps have known that parking is not included in the room rate. I realize now that this isn't just this hotel but it would have been helpful to know this ahead of time. Overall the hotel was very nice.

Overall this is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The only downside was the guests above me were loud and jumping on the floor starting at 5 a.m. Definitely was not the best way to wake up.

The hotel, staff and view was excellent so was it's proximity to the convention center. The god awful racket from the seemingly endless railroad crossing sirens all night long and the marine hover crafts at 7am were tough to deal with after a long day.
