Hotel Guest Reviews of the Savoy Suites Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The location was great with its proximity to American University.
The only negative thing about this hotel is that you can hear some of the street noise in certain rooms. The noise is not bad for being in the city though.

The hotel is very nicely decorated and clean. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are good sized. I like that there were mini fridges in the room. The only problem with this hotel is that there are not very many good restaurants within walking distance. There is a very nice Whole Foods nearby. Also, they used to provide free parking in their garage, but now they charge $20/day. ...read more

The beds were comfortable.
I checked in at 3 am and the late night staff was not friendly.

The room that was advertised and purchased had a balcony view. They later call me to tell me that that was a mistake and they only had a regular doubles room. They comped us breakfast.

location is close to Chinese embassy, this is why we picked it.
The room was not clean , was bit pretty bad during night and have to ask for room exchange, not sure if spider or bed flea, anyway, will definitely not stay in the future or recommend to friends.

Not a good experience, was bit by bugs pretty bad, not sure if thats ants, spider or bed flea

Didn't like the unexpected charges of taxes and parking! The priceline site said no tax on this room and didn't mention paid parking. Also the view I supposedly paid extra for was obstructed by many many trees

Excellent location near all of downtown Georgetown and most embassies.
The rooms are nothing to brag about, at least not for the price they charge. However, the location makes up for this and the rooms are decent enough to make you forget about how much you paid per night.

Overall, I was very impressed by Savoy Suites. The location near the embassies and Georgetown is excellent and you can walk to pretty much anything that you need to go to, including the metro to take you across the rest of DC. You'll have to fork out a little bit for this place, because they don't compromise much on the price. But if you're in the need for a good hotel near key embassies and the night life of Georgetown, this place is sure to take care of your needs. Be advised though...you'll pay $20 a day for parking at the hotel, even though there is plenty of space nearby, no matter what you paid for the room. But overall, not a bad spot! ...read more

The location was convenient for us but not worth all the negatives. I Shudder still at the rug parking and staff one guy was very friendly tall dark hair the rest did their best to ignore us all.
They charged for parking. 20.00 per day per car, refused to honor ads for their Hotels on various sites even though they knew they were false. Most staff were rude abrupt as if we inconvenienced them . Rugs in room were filthy spotted and crunchy.

We found the location good but north Bethesda or Rockville would have been cleaner and less expensive. The staff were rude at the desk, not at all glad to see us. No Southern Hospitality here. Parking is tight and front of Hotel often blocked by cabs or personal cars . Side street parking is 2 hrs only unto 830 at night . We had to fetch our own towels and blankets at least the storage closet was unlocked on our floor. No Tub either not at all kid friendly no breakfast either Bar is run separate from hotel. Was within walking distance of restaurants and stores but ... ...read more

THe front desk staff was fantastic, especially Tiffany?. Help with restarants, reservations, airport cars, all with a smile.
It is not near the subway so taxis and hotel shuttle is required to get downtown DC or georgetown.

The hotel was father than I thought from downtown Georgetown as well as Georgetown University. Although they did provide shuttles they where limited in times. When asked for a taxi to Ronald Regan they provided me with a car service which cost A LOT more

The hotel restaurant was very good with great service. If you are going to tour Georgetown and it's universities you are well off the beaten path to walk to restaurants, sights etc and must use public transportation or a car

the staff were courteous and friendly
apart from being a bit more removed from d.c, the hotel was fine

the room was well furnished and clean. the bed linens were NOT synthetic, and quite comfortable. the restaurant was affordable, and the food was above average. restaurant staff were quite cordial. the breakfast was a fixed price buffet, so if you prefer something light in the morning, the best bet is starbucks down the street. as we were not spending much time at the hotel, it served our lodging needs well. ...read more
