Sea Dell Motel - Marathon

The hotel is old and needs updating. It is generally clean, however pool bottom could use a good scubbing. Many restaurants in walking distance and Sombrero Beach about 1.5 miles away. Must go to the Stuffed Pig for breakfast, well worth it. Avoid restaurant across the street (Plaza Grill?), food good but very expensive.

small but clean. if you are looking for a place to sleep over night while enjoy the keys, this is the place. It is one hour away from Key West, and there are plenty of food and beaches around.

Old motel, they've tried to fix it up, and done a pretty good job....but it's still an old motel. close to the highway so a little noisey. but it was nice and clean, staff was friendly and helpful. All in all very over priced.

We wanted an inexpensive place to stay while down in the Florida Keys. Cleanliness and friendly staff were our main requirements. We were not disappointed. The room was cleaned everyday and the staff were awesome. If you don't like the whole tourist trap thing of Key West then Marathon is the place to stay. We were 1 1/2 hours from Key west and about the same distance from Key Largo. If you prefer a quieter family friendly place to stay here is it! Staying for a total of 10 days, driving to different islands and enjoying the Keys. If we ever get a chance to go back we will most likely be staying at the Sea Dell again. Marathon has a beautiful beach as well that you can swim and even snorkel at. We did have to drive there (10 min). For enjoying the sand and sun this was the best beach we visited. ...read more

This is an older motel that the ownership invested wisely and remodeled it in a really neat fashion. It was almost like a new 'retro' styled motel. I highly recommend it and will go back again.

Nice small motel very clean and staff was friendly and helpful will stay again.

We were greeted with a smiling, happy face. Which lasted throughout our stay with all the staff. The motel is clean! The room, the pool, the front desk, all clean. It is beautifully landscaped and quiet. Our bed was very comfortable. The fridge, microwave, coffee pot were all very nice extras. I would stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel with my long-time boyfriend, and this was our first visit to Marathon. The room was clean and was decorated in typical Florida Keys style, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioner blew cold. The shower head was positioned a bit low, but that was our only challenge in the room. Parking was available in unmarked spaced right outside the rooms, which was not great if you have a large car.
