Hotel Guest Reviews of the Sea Trail Resort & Conference Center

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

It was clean and in a good location.
The rooms were very outdated! For the price

No towels and coffee pot.

Location amid trees and quite. Access to other areas easy. We drove from Cherry Grove to Southport with little traffic, visited Holden, oak Island and some of the best restaurants.

The check in staff was very helpful when the first room was not to our satisfaction. Comfortable beds.
The hotel is very dated and needs some maintenance..

Setting was different than traditional hotels
Bed was like sleeping on a bed of rocks way to hard and not enough pillows, AC would cool to a comforatble level.

The location of the resort is great. Very close to everything you could want or need in Sunset Beach.
Pretty small and cramped. Also, adding a mini-fridge to the room would have gone a very long way with us!

Liked the biker/walking paths along the sides of the roads.
TV
didn't work, holes in bedspread, sand on bed, beds unmade on arrival, staff opened front without knocking.

I will probably not stay here again. Its care and maintenance seem to have suffered greatly since my last stay in 2005.

It is a golf resort, the grounds are beautiful. The building we were in seemed more like an apt.
Very easy to get lost. The map we were given needed much more detailed info.

We arrived at the Sea Trails resort entrance around 9:45. Found the Check in Building, got our keycards from a sweet young desk clerk. Recieved verbal instructions and she handed me a colorfull map. 10:30 pm. we finally found the building and our room! The room was quite small and the remote didnt work, there was no manual button on the tv or the reciever box. It was late anyway so we just showered and went to sleep. The towels were as nice as any 4 star hotel I have stayed in. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner blowing cold so we had a good nights sleep. Called the front desk around 8 am and they sent someone over right away to fix our tv. The rest of our stay was very nice. The staff was great. I most enjoyed having my first cup of cofee every morning looking over the fairway about 100 yards from an inticing well bunkered large beautifull green. ...read more
