Hotel Guest Reviews of the Seaside Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

It was very convenient to walk down to the ocean
Although the room appeared very clean, when taking off the sheets the bed pad was soiled.

The staff was very pleasant. There was a well stocked continental breakfast. The location was great. If we do come again I would inspect the bed pad before I sleep on it.

Right on the beach! Nice staff. Free wi-fi, breakfast included.
Room was small, with stained carpets, badly in need of overhaul.

I love the way the hotel staff keeps lovely plants hanging from balconies. The location is really ideal, right on the main street of Isle of Palms. It shows its heavy use, though. I went at end of busy season and there was lots of wear and tear. The owners have tried to make some upgrades to the room, but they were kind of amusing because they weren't very well done and were right beside really badly worn items. The staff was very nice and helpful. ...read more

The front desk girl was very friendly.
The bathroom was not in good shape.

The location was excellent. The price was decent, but the room itself was nothing fantastic. The beds were comfortable, but the bathroom had peeling walls. Everything was clean, which is the most important!

The staff was very friendly, air-conditioner was very cold.
Had to pay to park, both rooms smelled, pool was laughable, very little closet space, WiFi did not work.

The hotel was in a great location. The beach was right outside and shops/restaurants were within walking distance. The front desk girl was very nice.
The room smelled funny and there was trash in the hallway that didn't get cleaned up for over an hour.

For the price, it was a nice stay. The room did have a funny smell that we just assumed was from all the wet beach stuff that was brought in.

The only plus was the receptionist, continental breakfast and breakfast area was relatively clean.
This hotel has gone downhill since our last visit several years ago.

We contracted for a "Deluxe Queen" room and what we got was a "Run Down" smelly room furnished for one person. The vending machines ate our money with no product. The receptionist did repay our loss. Everywhere you looked, your impression was that this hotel is neglected, i.e., badly in need of new room furnishings, paint inside and out. Parking was charged at $5.00 per night and our Toyota Van would not fit under the building so we had to park across the street in an unsecured lot. We were very, very disappointed. ...read more

Location.
Mold smell so bad I could not sleep and that was the second room they showed us. This first smelled bad and the one we chose smelled bad.

Great location but the smell of mold made me not able to sleep wondering if it was black mold from the 1989 hurricane there in the walls.

The price was reasonable since the hotel was right on the beach.
Smelled moldy--laminate/hardwood floors instead of carpet would have been nice. Very small!

The Seaside Inn should consider putting in hardwood or laminate flooring. The carpet holds moisture and makes all the rooms smell funny. I wouldn't have minded the size so much if the room didn't smell so bad and give me a headache.
