Hotel Guest Reviews of the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Location.
Housekeeping didn't come to our room unless we called and specifically asked for it. We spoke to several employees and a manager who all apologized and stated this was not acceptable. But, it was never corrected.

The staff were lovely, any request we made were addressed immediately. The location was fantastic, right in the center of everything. We were very pleased with our stay.
The only things that were off were: we requested a refrigerator for our room which was delivered promptly, only it was a freezer. Even set on 1 it froze any beverages solid. Also the TV was very in and out which when we inquired was due to the updating.

The location was great.
Valet parking was nice but pricey each night.

Overall a great stay! Staff was extremely friendly and thorough. Location was in a great part of town and close to main attractions.

Easy location for access to the city.
We stayed on the 17th floor and still had a huge noise level problem. We cold still hear the street noises. We had a room by the elevator and heard people coming and going all hours of the day and night. Also had problems with the maid service

My wife has a travel bag for your makeup and other stuff including perfume. She keep her bag on the bathroom counter. When the maid can in to replace to towels she knocked over the travel bag. My wife's perfume bottle busted and and glass went everywhere. The maid left the bag and the glass all over the floor (but hey we had two clean towels). I wouldn't stay here again

The hotel was beautiful, clean, great view of the Mississippi river and city. Compfortable bed and pillows, coffee in rooms.. Hotel resturant was very good. Had a large selection for breakfast buffet. The bar too was good and offered a extended view
We were more than satisfied as the hotel clerk gave us and another couple the same room. Once they were notified they quickly upgraded our room, gave us complimentary breakfast And 2 complimentary drinks. It was more than sufficient forour minor inconvi

Great location, within walking distance to french quarters, bourbon street, many sites. Parking was $42. In hotel.alternate parking is available for $25., in and out, within 1 or 2 blocks away.In wich we took advantage of , city parking.the money we saved, we spent on hurricane drinks.

I liked the location, it is on Canal Street, which is right on the boundary for the French Quarter. Tons of cool stuff to do and see well within walking distance and a street car right outside of the hotel.
The only real complaint I have is that my wife and I were unable to get one bed (king or queen), and had two double beds, which was annoying.

The hotel is nice, with a nice lounge and bar area in the main lobby, the room was nice and clean, and the staff was friendly.

Location was good.
Staff was not knowledgable. We chose to be green so our room was not cleaned. That was fine but not stated that clean glasses or refills of coffee/tea and water not done. Also a $5 voucher was offered foe being green but when I called guest services to in

When choosing green don't expect any service at all and guest services said voucher would be honored for room service breakfast(which I would not have done for $23 toast and tea) but at check out it was not honored. Whole experience was less than good. Maybe if staff was more forthcoming it would have been better.

The staff was very helpful, the location was optimum, and the room we stayed in was very well kept. Room cleanliness was great, each day that we elected for service. Mattress and linens combined to provide a very comfortable bed.

Hotel is in a very good spot, within walking distance of most of tourist New Orleans. Valet and bell-staff very efficient and friendly, helpful with any questions we had. Front desk agents very knowledgeable of surroundings and of company policies. Lobby was very massive, with loads to take in ranging from a Starbucks to the bar, even the giftshop tucked away near the elevators. Housekeeping staff very attentive to detail and helpful with any requests we made. ...read more

great location for French Quarter Festival.
Parking price of $38.00 @ day PLUS tax is excessive and I woulda changed my bid had I known!

great location for downtown/French Quarter access; nicely remodeled rooms; very friendly staff.

The bar area in the main lobby was nice and "happening". Excercise room was very nice.
Have to pay to park. Pool was small--not enough chairs for the size of hotel.

I got a great deal on priceline, but come to find out you have to pay $42/day in valet parking. Ouch. And then you have to tip every time you turn around. Heaven forbid if you try to borrow a luggage cart to take your own luggage up to the room. The pool was small--not nearly enough chairs for the size of hotel it is. I wish they also had an indoor pool for inclement weather. ...read more
