Hotel Guest Reviews of the Sheraton Orlando Downtown Hotel
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 9, 2013

I came in for a Rock Concert. Valet service was speedy and courtesy. The front desk staff were great and courteous. Bar and Restaurant was clean, and the staff was great. They were prompt on the orders. The Room Service was excellent. You could tell the people who worked there really liked being there. The hotel overall was clean and very nice with lots of amentities. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. I am returning to the area for another concert in August and will stay at the same Hotel. It is in great proximity to the venue as well as conveniently located to the downtown area. Furthermore, even though it's in the downtown area, it's quiet, clean, comfortable, and a just an over great place to stay. ...

The hotel is close to a lot of local attractions but not safe for walking as it's located right next to the bus station. The hotel rooms are nice but nothing spectacular. The majority of the hotel staff was rude and unaccommodating. We had a couple of drinks at the sports bar and ordered a burger and loaded fries to go. The waitress/bartender acted as if she was doing us a favor by being there and talked to her co-workers the entire time. So, while we waited on our food we got to listen to the staff complain about their hours, their crappy tips and how they were "too f-ed to be at work". The food was very disappointing. The "cheddar cheese" as it stated on the menu, was actually the nasty processed nacho cheese which ruined the entire plate of loaded fries. The burger was just sloppy and unsatisfying. Our room was decent. The bed was comfortable so that was a plus. However, there is a charge for internet in the rooms ($9.95 a day) and a charge for LOCAL phone calls! I would expect there to be a charge for long distance phone calls...but really??? Charging for local phone calls?! This wasn't the only added charge. Apparently we paid more so that we could be forced to pay for the mandatory valet parking and bell service which was $16 plus tip. Oh and did I mention that the parking lot is right in front of the hotel? We could have parked our own car and would've been more than happy to but instead, we had to wait for the valets to get around to doing it for us. Totally not worth the money for this hotel. The only good thing is that they are pet friendly and here is a shocker...they don't charge you for that! ...

this is not a three and half star hotel. it might be a three based on the services available, but the rooms are old and worn and suffer from years of wear and tear (the beds, however, were outstanding). the staff was wonderfully nice, and the location within walking distance of the Amway is perfect.

The staff was friendly, and the hotel was great. My only issue was all of the undisclosed fee's that were due at check in, also valet which is billed to your room as well. These fees should be disclosed prior to booking the room.
