Sheraton Suites Plantation

We enjoyed our stay at Sheraton Suites Plantation. Staffs were very courteous and responsive. We complained the musty smell in the room and they immediately switched the room for us. We like Sheraton because they accept dogs (up to 40lbs) for free of charge. Breakfast buffet wasn't very impressive contrary to other reviewers noting it being great, but hey it's a continental breakfast. There is a decent size pool (I think it's 25 meter)on the 9th floor along with a small gym. Hollywood beach is 20 minute drive depending on traffic and Miami South Beach is about 40 minute drive from the hotel, so the location isn't the best. But there were four adults, a toddler and a dog in our family and we comfortably stayed at a basic suite at the price we could never have got closer to South Beach, so we were happy. ...read more

It was in an awkward location to drive to but very easy to shuttle to port.

Spacious rooms, but hide-a-bed couches are not really comfortable to sleep on. Beds and bedding are very nice. Large dressing area with double sinks and lots of counter and closet space.

We stay at this hotel because of my kids' state tennis tournament. However, we felt very disappointed. The suite room seems good, but, it is easy to hear noise from outside when we stay in room. The worst thing is the very bad service from hotel staff. We asked to extend the checking-out time for my kids' tennis activity, but, the hotel staff refused our request unless we paid extra money. Room is large, and all rooms are suites. Exterior of hotel and lobby look fairly new, but carpets in the room and hall way are a little old and dirty. The hotel is very spooky, TV turns off by itself in the middle of night. Adjacent buildings are completely dead and shut down for unknown reasons. Location is not great. Nothing is around within walking distance. Shopping mall and restaurants are in 3 to 5 minutes by driving. Great price over all plus free internet and free parking. ...read more
