Hotel Guest Reviews of the Sofitel Los Angeles At Beverly Hills

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The Location was close to all the places we wanted to go. The staff was all extremely helpful and friendly. The shower/bath was a great size and the bed very comfortable. The private small pool was nice even if not too fancy.
The room showed wear and tear for sure. It was an older hotel and could have been due for some new carpeting. We ordered champagne at the pool which felt forced and ended up being very pricey for poor quality: $36 for 2 glasses of Rose Chandon.

The hotel was the perfect location for our plans to visit both West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The staff was extremely helpful and everyone was really nice. The hotel rooms were a bit small and dated with wear and tear, but the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom/rain shower was a great size. For the value, this hotel was really wonderful. I loved how genuine the staff was to us during our stay. There was no Beverly Hills snobbery which was a unique surprise. We did not have a chance to visit the fitness center or restaurant, but the private pool was nice for the unexpected sunny day. I would consider staying here again if in the area especially to have such a nice staff to help. ...read more

We liked the location because we could walk to a lot of the areas we wanted to stroll/shop, Melrose, La Cienega, Robertson.
Our first room was a bit noisy due to neighbors who had a large group in the room and talked loudly. The hotel kindly moved us to a quieter floor. So rooms are not terribly sound proofed.

A great location, very nice service and a good value. This was our second stay at the hotel and would stay there again.

What I liked most about this hotel is the friendliness, professionalism and pleasant energy of all of the staff members.
I expected to have a much comfier mattress.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The best part was the well above average customer service received from staff throughout the hotel. I did not use the pool, but did take a look at it. It's on the small side, but the lounging area around the pool and on the level above the pool are very nice. The standard room isn't huge, but met my needs as it is perfect for two people. The mattress was too firm for my taste, but everything else I experienced overshadowed this minute shortcoming.

Staff made us wait for room, then didn't even notify us when it was ready. The room was tiny and had no bath tub. The facility was very clean and the gym was lovely. Pool was tiny and there was no jacuzzi. Overall was not impressed.

The hotel was pretty.
No top sheet on beds, had to wait a night for double room.

My experience with the Sofitel was half and half. There weren't top sheets on the beds (which is disgusting) when I called to ask for top sheets at night they never came. There is no refrigerator, only mini bar that if you move anything you are charged. The room service was not good at all. Had to send food back. Didn't eat in the restaurant. Overall I found the staff very friendly and accommodating. There were no double rooms until are second night there. I was told on the phone there would be an extra charge but the wonderful woman at the counter informed us that there would be no extra charges to move us the next day. That was a pleasant surprise. I would stay there again if there was a good deal but I would never pay full price. ...read more

I was very classy and comfortable.
I was disappointed that there was a charge for in-room Internet service not a good thing.

Workers and staff in hotel are really nice: management is sloppy.
Lackadaisical management:

Great location, it is way overpriced. staff is friendly, management's goofy, were it not for location I would not stay there.
