Welcome to the Sofitel Minneapolis
With an award-winning restaurant, contemporary style and a location minutes from Mall of America and downtown, the non-smoking Sofitel Minneapolis is a favorite of Priceline guests when they come to town.
The five-story hotel has 277 non-smoking rooms and an impressive atrium lobby with contemporary decor. The modern style is also reflected in the chic rooms, whose cloud-like signature beds have Priceline guests swooning. The bathrooms are noteworthy, too, with walk-in rain showers for a spa feeling. You can even arrange for an in-room massage. The rooms have flat-panel TVs, and Wi-Fi is available for an additional fee. The fitness center keeps guests active while business center helps them keep up with work tasks. Dinner at the hotel's acclaimed restaurant is a perfect reward at the end of a busy day. Parking is free.
The hotel is off of I-494, with a number of restaurants within easy walking distance and a city bus stop on the same block. It's less than three miles to the posh Galleria shopping center, home to big-name designers. Hard-core shoppers will want to make the 10-minute drive to Mall of America — a mall so big, it houses an aquarium and the world's largest indoor theme park, Nickelodeon Universe. It's nine miles to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
Priceline guests rate Sofitel as one of the best hotel stays in Minneapolis. They say "the beds are fantastic" and "the restaurant is excellent." Overall, staying here is "a very wonderful and memorable experience."

Hotel property impressive in terms of public spaces and available amenities. Includes a morning French coffee and pastry shop that exceeds all possible expectations. Try their quiche for sure. Hotel not walkable to attractions, but travel to attractions never seemed a burden. Concierge very helpful and even took time to help us (as first-time guests) take advantage of hotel amenities. Ample free parking, free wi-fi (could pay extra for extreme bandwidth) and there was no extra charge for a room refrigerator. Our room was spacious, well lighted through a wall of windows, and the AC system was whisper quiet. Room compulsively clean (I used to be in cust svc and I check for details) and furnishings and supplies of very good quality. Great bed and bedding, and no noise from the halls or from outside. We got a really good price- thinking probably because we were there over a weekend. Just off the scale in terms of luxury and comfort! ...

Family Traveling with Teens
The hotel was located in an area we were interested in visiting. The staff was very helpful but the room and furnishings seemed very "tired." The pillow were great but the top that was on the mattress was not comfortable and just a good mattress was probably needed instead of that "topper?" I really thought that I would have had a refrigerator and a coffee maker in the room as 3 stars hotels do. They did offer room service coffee if I wanted but I am a tea drinker, so what would that have been? Not that this has anything to do with the hotel but it would have been nice to know that I was bidding on a room that had 2 beds instead of one king bed. My teenager did not like that and a roll-a-way is an insult to the situation-show me any rollaway that is great to sleep in? ...

It's an older hotel with small rooms. However the rooms were very nice and modern. Bed was comfortable and staff was very nice. The restaurant was extremely good.
