Hotel Guest Reviews of the Sofitel New York

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Very elegant sophisticated hotel. Very calm experience in the midst of manhattan. really nice rooms and really nice gym. Very comfortable.
Only that it cost me $30 per night extra for double beds. This was a bit upsetting

Classy elegant refined hotel in a great location for theatre. A calm oasis in the city. Near enough to times square but away from the hub bub of it all. Very nice gym. Very elegant hotel.

Its a great place to stay in the heart of the city. It is also close to the Bryant Park subway and Grand Central Station

I was only there for a short overnight stay, but the room and lobby were quite nice.
The bed pillows were hard and incompressible, so much so that I thought I'd wake up with a stiff neck in the morning from the angle my neck was forced into by the pillow. The 1 glaring omission: lack of a coffee pot in the room.

Very nice facility. If you like thick, incompressible pillows and don't care about coffee or tea service in the room, you'll love the place.

We loved the location
It would have been good to know that the rooms have two twin beds or one queen - not two queens. I had to add a second room.

This hotel was amazing! Every expectation and then some was met. From staff to location was the best stay we have had on our 12 years visiting NYC.

Their are really no cons for us. We brought our 10 year old twins and they loved it as well. Very close to anything you could possible want or need in the big city!

While we were in the middle of Times Square once we entered the hotel it was calm, peaceful and quiet. It had first class amenities and the staff treated us exceptionally well
There is nothing negative to say about this hotel

We felt this hotel was a five star hotel. The hotel was very clean, the staff accommodating and the prices reasonable. Once inside the hotel I felt like we were miles away from the frenetic pace of Times Square. Yet the location was one block from the crowds and energy of the city.

Very pleasant and friendly people. Staff was very efficient.

The hotel location is excellent for visitors wanting to be near theaters. We walked to all three shows.

Hotel was in a very good location, easy access to everything but tucked away from the noise of the City. Front desk staff was very helpful in that they upgraded us from a queen to a king room.

Hotel was clean, quiet and in a very good location. I am guessing that the owners must be from France as all of the staff was fluent in french and the hotel's printed material was provided in both french and english. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating.
