Hotel Guest Reviews of the Sonesta Es Suites Charlotte
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 8, 2013

Pro's: The location was excellent. The breakfast was better than expected. I wished they had more fresh fruit but, generally, I was able to find something. I liked the evening snacks on Tues-Thurs. It was enough food that I didn't need to go out to eat. The staff was friendly. The washer/dryer were complimentary. The beds were decent and the TV was fine. Con's: The first night there was a major party at the pool and there were lots of loud kids and adults. Inevitably, one of the kids pulled a fire alarm and everyone had to leave the building for a short while. There was construction on the pool side and it was very loud. I moved rooms to the other side after they couldn't fix the air conditioning. I stayed for 11 days. During that time the plumbing went out for most of a day. One night, someone had a dog in their room that howled. Generally, it was fine. About what you would expect for this rating of hotel. ...

The hotel isn't to far away from a grocery store, it has a full kitchen (other than oven) inside all rooms. Courtyard is very private and nice to hang out in. Food, Wine and beer reception was a nice added bonus! People were very nice as well. I couldn't have been happier for the price. Plus if you have a family you're minutes from Carowinds.

Don't advertise as a suite hotel, when you give customer's rooms that are not suites, but you consider it a suite because it has a kitchen in the room. Not good advertising practice.

No way is this even close to a 3 star hotel. Stayed two nights earlier at a 2-1/2 star Hyatt Place next door, this palce can't be anymore than a 2 star at best!

None of those crappy hotel single cup coffee pots here. A nice full size pot and microwave made mornings more pleasant. The complementary meals in the lounge were adequate and prevented a restaurant search and saved additional time and expense.
