This hotel exceeded my expectations. Very convenient to D.C. Complimentary shuttle to the Metro was very prompt and easy to arrange.

The layout of the room was excellent, the only improvement would have been to totaly separate the bedroom.

Family Traveling with Teens
The first time one of us used the toilet, it clogged. I called the front desk and was told that they would send someone up. No one came for an hour, so I called again. At that point, someone brought me a plunger -yes, that's right, they brought ME a plunger to use to unclog the toilet myself. I did it because I was tired of waiting and we needed to have a working toilet. That was at about 8:00pm. As we were preparing to leave the next morning, a plumbing engineer knocked on the door offering to fix the toilet - that was about 10:00 am, 14 hours after I made the call. In addition to the problem with our toilet, the microwave didn't work. When I called the front desk to ask someone to help with this problem, the woman who answered sighed and impatiently explained to me how to use a microwave. I told her that we had done exactly what she had just outlined but it didn't turn on. With exasperation in her voice, she told me she would come to show me how to use it. Of course it didn't work. She huffily told me that she would get another one for me if she could find one. A short while later, she showed up with a different one. I gave her the plunger on her way out. When I asked if they would make an adjustment to the charges given our unsatisfactory experience, they wouldn't. I don't know if this is their general policy or if it was because I stayed with a name-your-own-price reservation that had already been paid in full. In any case, I would not recommend the hotel. ...
