Springhill Suites Birmingham Downtown At Uab

Springhill was a delightful surprise. The room was very clean and the location was super convenient. Most of all, the staff was the best. They were kind, happy easy to understand and accommodating. I will be back and will suggest it to everyone.

Everything was very nice and clean. The staff were not super friendly when we were checking in, but it wasn't anything too bad. The location was great to everything we were in town for, and although we expected more noise from the baseball stadium, hospital, etc., it was actually very quiet. Also, the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in!

Great location for downtown events. Very well decorated. Great bedding. Hotel was clean and looked well cared for. Elevator usage was terrible. One of the two was out of order and the other one was so slow it just wasn't worth the wait. We just used the stairs. Would still definitely stay here again!!

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel!! The rooms have a really modern feel to them with beautiful decor and all the "modern necessities" such as wi-fi, Internet access, and lots of electrical outlets conveniently placed around the room. The desk, refrigerator, and microwave were appreciated as well! We also enjoyed having a stand-up shower though this could be a problem for families with small children in need of a bathtub. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the room though no one arrived to clean our room until very late in the afternoon (after 3 pm). We would have appreciated an earlier clean-up. The breakfast they offered was top notch, offering a good variety of hot/cold breakfast foods. The hotel is beautiful and the parking garage (free parking for hotel guests) is right next to the hotel and is extremely convenient to use. Can't always say that about hotels located downtown. The only drawback is that the area is not really too developed for hotels yet. There were few restaurants and little if any shopping within walking distance of the hotel. Would like to see more of this in the area - always makes a hotel visit more enjoyable if there is something to do in the immediate area. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Not sure of his name but there was a maintanance man working there that went out of his way to be helpful to us. We really appreciated him a lot!! Overall we would rate this as an excellent hotel though it is a bit difficult to find if you are not familiar with the area. We would happily stay here again. ...read more

The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Very professional. The breakfast was great. The area is very close to a lot of historical sites in which you could walk. Great price for the level of quality and service provided.

Nice hotel and very clean. Only improvement would be the tempature of the room. The hallway was very cool but couldn't get the room to even be cool. Purchased a fan and it helped a lot. Ordered room service and it was delivered promptly however the food wasn't that great.
