Hotel Guest Reviews of the Springhill Suites Columbia

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Rooms were chic and spacious
Nothing about the hotel itself. There always seems to be a confusion with billing when room is reserved through priceline

Very nice, up-to-date, all the amenities. They even have a full breakfast available

Interesting arrangement; sleep area separate from couch area
Though modern in appearance, it's a little unnerving that the door for the bathroom does not actually close.

It was a decent stay. Nothing amazing...
Smelled like cleaning products and was not warm and inviting.

Didn't care for this hotel much. Smelled like cleaning products and the hotel just seemed to have a cold atmosphere.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My son loved that there was a pool. We liked that there was a mini fridge and microwave (though we didn't use it) and that the toilet and shower were separated (this meant that one could shower and not tie up the
The hotel generally met our expectations. Maybe would have liked to know there wasn't a bathtub (my son doesn't like to take showers most times).

The front desk has plenty of information about area restaurants and shopping--be sure to ask! We could have saved some money on food had we known just how close stores and chain food restaurants were to the hotel (the hotel seems to be isolated from stuff, but it's really not). The decor is definitely retro, but not over the top. We got a breakfast with our room; it was pretty good--a decent selection of the basics (though a little heavy on the carbs for someone with Diabetes). All in all, it was an enjoyable experience--my son didn't want to leave! ...read more

The room was clean and nice.
Pool was only open from 7-9am and 5-10pm in the weekdays but the staff told us pool was closing at 10pm so we went to the pool at 1pm and couldn't get in. Had trouble with the card key after the unsuccessful pool attempt so the staff had to come up and op

The room was clean and tidy, and the lobby was nice. Overall environment was nice and seemed clean. However we had some trouble with the pool so we weren't happy about that. The couch had a small stain but we flipped the cushion so it was okay. There was a problem with the toilet where the water kept running after flushing, but the staff got us a new room without any hassle. The new room was good. ...read more

Called manager after I left hotel and told he wasnt in.Clerk said he would call me later. When he did call I was in the middle of a business transaction and asked him to please call me back in about an hour or two.He said he would.Still waiting for him to call.Have used priceline for years with great results. The service at this hotel definitly was not satisfactory. ...read more

It was far beyond my expectations for the price that I paid.

It was located in a safe community, clean, attractive and well priced.
The breakfast hours were shorter and earlier during week days.

While I was staying at the hotel, I encountered 3 stink bugs in my room within the first night of my stay. After killing the third stink bug, I took it down to the front desk to ask for a room change. Without any hassle, I was moved to another room and was only charged half price the first night. The staff is very helpful, friendly and are customer service oriented. I was happy to have been treated so well during my stay. I later found out that stink bugs have been afflicting the Baltimore area for awhile and are harmless. ...read more
