Hotel Guest Reviews of the Sonesta Es Suites Burlington

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Breakfast.
Pillows were uncomfortable.

Was pleasantly surprised. For the price, got a great deal. Hotel provided a hot breakfast which was better than expected.

The rooms were spacious, very friendly staff and the place is very clean. The complementary breakfast was better than expected and they provide light dinners during the week day nights.
The location would be quite far if you are planning to visit Bostonbut still desirable with a mall close by and quicker access to outlets.

Friendly staff. Very comfortable stay. Nice to have breakfast every morning and the menu is slightly different each day. Location was close to highway and easy to find. Close to Burlington Shopping Mall so lots of shopping and restaurants in the area.
certainly not a hotel where you can walk to everything. You will need a car.

Extremely friendly staff. The guests were very courteous. The location is just off the interstate so the commute to Boston City Center is quite easy and quick - about 15 to 20 minutes without traffic. Free parking and there is a BBQ area, outdoor pool and basketball court - you will never get bored. There is always coffee and snacks in the dining area. Our room was just above the main dining area so it was quite noisey in the morning as people gathered to have their breakfast. Otherwise I have nothing to complain. ...read more

Location.
Staff were never available. Even at the front desk we had to wait for staff and then was forced to look for an "Employees Only" door and knock to get assistance. Room was not clean to acceptable standard. Sink and vanity were dirty and room was dusty.

Right off the highway and easy to get to.
The room was designated as a smoking room. The front desk person said that it is typical of Priceline to stick people in smoking rooms without warning. It's part of why the room is so deeply discounted. Fine. Fair enough. But that cockroach was gross.

There's no way to know it at the time of booking when naming "your own price," but the room assigned to me was a smoking room. A bit stale and musty, but at least the windows opened fairly wide. When the incoming fresh air made the room too cold, I closed the window then set about turning on the heat. The heating/air conditioning unit had no power. I checked that the plug was connected, power switch on, that the outlet worked...all seemed fine, but the unit would not work. Exhausted, I just accepted that it'd be a cold night and got under the covers. Sometime around 2AM, I awoke to get a glass of water, and was horrified when I flipped the lightswitch to see a giant cockroach scurry out from under my makeup bag, across the bathroom fixture and down the sink drain. Earlier I found some other large but slow-moving, silent insect in the room and just ignored it, but the 1" cockroach made my skin crawl. The next morning I used the in-room coffee maker but as it brewed, I noticed that no sugar or creamer had been provided. Dumped the coffee and unpack my day's outfit. While removing the ironing board and iron from the closet, the board bumped into the flimsy wire shelving and caused the shelves to collapse in a noisy clattering cascade. One, two, three wire shelves on a heap on the floor. I looked up, sigh. All together, I paid something like
XXX for the room. That's mad cheap for Boston. You get what you pay for, I suppose.

Location was very convenient. Staff friendly and helpful - food at dinner and breakfast buffet pretty good (eggs and hash were cold). Kitchenette - though I didn't need it - was well-equipped.
Staff said Priceline requested a smoking room. Why? They were able to change it, but I ended up in the handicap room - not as nice. Furniture was comfortable but a bit beaten up.

convenient location. Great Rooms. Clean. Great Breakfast.
I had to pay extra dollars for two beds.

Convenient location right off of 128. H-mart is right next to the hotel. nice, clean rooms. Complementary breakfast is very nice. Outdoor pool, badminton/basketball court. I wish I could bring my family here. about 5 minutes from Lexington center. 25 min. from Boston. I would recommend the hotel for family vacation since less than one hour driving from here can get your family to tax-free shopping, beaches, New Hampshire mountains, historic places, great city, Fenway, .... ...read more

The hotel seems to have everything needed either for a short stay or an extended stay.
It was somewhat difficult to find the hotel since there was any signage by the road.

This was my second stay at one of their hotels and I look forward to another stay hopefully in the near future. Between the breakfast and the mid-week dinners, this place is a money and time saver!
