Hotel Guest Reviews of the Suburban Extended Stay Laplace
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 8, 2013
Family Traveling with Young Children
I love this hotel. You are a short 15-20 minute drive from Downtown New Orleans, you are close to 2 main interstates (I-10 and I-55). The rooms are big with a small kitchen area. This is the hotel I will continue to stay at each and every time I am in the area!

Family Traveling with Young Children
The room was spacious. Having a kitchenette in the room was very convenient as we have 2 young children. The hotel was quiet. The beds were very comfortable.

We arrived late -- after midnight following Sugar Bowl game -- and it took the desk clerk about 10 minutes to check us in even though we were the only ones there and he was watching TV when we arrived. We then were assigned a smoking room on the second floor which was all smoking. We immediately returned to the front desk to get a non-smoking room and were told there were none left. I insisted, and pointed to my CPAP breathing machine which I need to sleep. The desk clerk then, reluctantly, came up with a non-smoking room (the last in the bldg he assured me) that had a jacuzzi tub in it, something we did not need or ask for. He had to write a long note to his supervisor (I guess) to explain how/why we got that room before he would give us the key. All in all it took the better part of a half hour to get into the room -- even though nothing else was going on! Even the second "non-smoking" room smelled like stale smoke, and my clothes and CPAP breathing machine carried the odor for several days. ...
