Hotel Guest Reviews of the Four Points By Sheraton San Jose - Silicon Valley

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The rooms were clean and very comfortable, nicely decorated.
The reason I gave 4/10 for public spaces was because of the Parking Lot conditions on a Saturday night. Parking is crowded and limited. Someone maliciously scratched the paint on my car, even though it was parked where hotel security directed me to park.

Overall, the hotel was very nice and the front desk staff friendly. I would stay here again during the week but would find another hotel for the weekend. The parking lot on Saturday nights is very crowded and hotel guests do not have a specifically assigned parking area. So you may end up parking out on the street and your car may not be secure.

Nice, spacious rooms. Very clean. Helpful staff.
I booked a room with 2 queen beds and for 2 nights. When we checked in I was told that I had booked a room with a king bed for 1 night which was frustrating. A room with 2 queens was not available for the 1st night but we were moved for the second night.

The hotel was clean with spacious rooms. The lobby was set up nicely and was very inviting. Not a lot of dining options other than the steakhouse on site but it did have a good breakfast. Priceline should verify that the type of rooms that are reserved through their website actually are available. They also offered a rollaway bed for the night we had a king bed. The rollaway was terrible and we could not sleep on it. The hotel staff were kind enough to give us a free breakfast for our inconvenience of having to move rooms. ...read more

The room was very spacious, the bed was very large, and very comfortable. Very nice interior to the hotel.
Outside should be fixed up a bit for better "curb appeal". Didn't like that bar/restaurant wasn't attached to hotel, had to walk outside in the rain to get to and from restaurant/room.

The inside of the hotel presents itself very well (unlike the exterior). The room size and beds are amazing, probably one of the best I've been in. Outside, the restaurant is divided between what it says is the "Summit Steakhouse" and a "Bar and Grill". We chose to eat in the "bar and grill" thinking it would be a cheaper menu, however, turns out, it is the same menu from the steak house. Pictures online showed and mentioned there being a pool table (we never saw one). The staff was fine, didn't notice anything negative from them, and also didn't notice anything "extraordinary" from them either. With all the upgrades done to the hotel, a mini-fridge in the rooms would've been very helpful, considering it seemed the ice machines were few-and-far between (or perhaps they were all just very far from the room we were in). Overall, being in the room was probably the best experience. Very nice, comfortable room for the price. Close to the freeway, and right down the street from many shops/food places. I would stay here again. ...read more

The restaurant was not great.

We mistakenly booked this hotel thinking we had booked downtown. It is a $50 cab ride from downtown. Was definetely our mistake but I believe an easy one to make based upon the ads and if you are not familiar with the area. The hotel was kind enough to cancel our reservation for the remainder of the stay so that we could move to a more suitable location.

Recently updated hotel - room had modern look & feel. Clean and comfortable.
Restaurant adjacent to hotel needs major rework.

Sheraton had added it's Four Points touch to this once Holiday Inn property. If you are looking for a great place to crash on the road after a day of work, this might be your place. Not much around for night life (food, drinks).

The TV service broke down in the evening and was still not working the next morning. We missed our news and morning shows.
