Super 8 Breaux Bridge

needs a complete cleaning!!!!

I would not recommend this hotel for family w/kids who have any standard for cleanliness and safety. Hotel was sparsely populated even at night--even though the parking lot was huge. After we had checked in, I saw the clerk walk up to the room and back down--which seemed strange. The room was dirty--we found a used plastic fork in the corner--the room would not cool down, the sink light flashed on/off 10 times before staying on, there were bulbs missing, the outdoor stairwell was dark, there was no elevator. It did not take us long to decide that we were leaving, and we even told the clerk. The clerk quickly tried to find us another room. After a few minutes, he had another room for us, but it was clear that he had just sprayed Lysol in that room, but that did not cover the stench that was still in the room. Neither room had beds with the full linen or enough towels. Clearly, there was a state of neglect here. Not the way to welcome an active duty military member w/ 20+ years of service on Father's day. It was perfect for convenience, very close to the Interstate.

I arrived to check in at 8 pm, having already confirmed over the phone that I would be arriving after the 2 pm check-in time. The clerk at the desk seemed to be waking up from a nap when I came in and his eyes were glazed over and his speech was slow and slurred. He gave me the wrong key to the wrong room twice, and upon checkout I realized that he had printed out the check-in sheet for me to sign with my name, but with a completely different address, credit card, and even price of the room. Only the zip code was the same. Luckily, I had already pre-paid through Priceline or there could have been major problems. I know I paid for this room but times were very tight now & I really didn't think that you should had to pay a lot of money for a place to take a shower & sleep! A lot of money now & I just think that the price of hotels were ridiculous. So when we traveled for my son to play baseball we had to stay in these kind of hotels which were awful because they were the only thing we could afford.
