Hotel Guest Reviews of the Super 8 Mobile Tillmans Corner

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff was AMAZING!
The A/C in the room we had was terrible and didnt do much cooling. Had to buy a box fan from walmart to get some relief. The woman at the desk tried to put us in another room but the A/C was worse. Also, the TV kept going out in the room we stayed in.

Hotel was priced well and the staff was awesome. The woman that we dealt with tried to help in any way that she could. Would definetly stay again.

The mattress on the bed.- The man who checked me in was very nice and polite.
Fridge did not work- wi fi could not be used- no ashtray- for a smoking room- no container for the in room coffee pot. Why have the coffee and the machine but no pot to make it. I had friends who also booked a room- their fridge did not work.

The location is next door to a Rodeway Inn and another hotel. On the nite of the 12th, there was gunshots made in the parking lot of the Rodeway Inn, plus yelling and hollering and traffic coming and going. The gunshots started around 9:30 pm and the other mess did not stop til 4:00am. No one in our hotel office took action (calling the police) or security etc., even though everyone on my side facing that parking lot could not sleep, asked for help from the office, the local law etc. NOTHING WAS DONE!!You could look out of the window and see what was going on- guns being shown, drugs being sold etc. I have a service dog- I would not take him out for no reason(plus there is no place to take any animal anyway)unless I had a law enforcement officer with me or it was daylight. I have stayed there for 4 yrs, but I doubt I will unless something is done. On top of that, with one hr of sleep, I went into the area to get coffee the next morning with my SERVICE DOG and the desk clerk jumped on me about my dog(he had on his vest). Another guest(I did not know) told her flat off that he had problems from the gun shots and noise etc and for her to lay off of me. That gives you an idea how she acted toward me- I did not even get the coffee. I just finished packing my car up and checked out and left asap. One thing I did notice the parking lot where all of the commontion was happening only had 3 cars in it at 8:00. Your hotel needs to talk to the local law enforcement or something. ...read more

location was good.
room had lots of problems

I would not stay here again. Hotel looks good on outside and in lobby. Our air conditioner froze up, carpet was dirty and not down properly, bath tub didn't drain good, ice machine didn't work and the pool was very dirty. Some of the staff were friendly others were not. Breakfast consisted of little Debbie cakes, cereal, toast and bagels. Juice was watered down and tasted bad.

Close to event that we attended.
The Front Desk Manager( Day Manager - Lady) was not friendly and did not make us welcome.

This is the second year we have stayed at this hotel for Madri Gras in Mobile, last year it was a Man Day Manager and he was so friendly, this year it was a Lady day Manager and to put it plain and simple she was very rude to us when we tried to check in early, after we got checked in we did not have any more dealing with her.

Convenience.
The bath room smelled of urine and they did not clean my room while I was there for two nights, also the hair dryer wasn't working.

OK for an overnight stay.

Nothing
Just about everything.

Staff was rude, unaccommodating, treated as if I was a bother when checking in. Room wasn't clean, bed was uncomfortable, refrigerator didn't work. didn't feel safe.

Cleaning staff friendly.
Air and heat didn't work. Burn holes in spread. Coffee pot didn't work. Missing lamp.

Will never stay at a Super 8 again. Very disappointing.

Price and location were descent.
Bed was awful and the room stunk.

Overall, the hotel was in a convenient location for me and a fair price. However, the room stunk, the furnishings were outdated, and the floor would have been more comfortable than the bed. It needs a major update. If you are staying for one night and just need a bed and a bath, good enough. But if you plan on spending any additional time in the room, spend a little extra and get something that doesn't make your clothes stink.
