The hotel has a great location and most of the staff is friendly. This is the second time we stayed and both times we chose to stay here because of the swimming pool. Both times the swimming pool was extremely cold. This time we spent five nights and complained about the pool right away. Only on our last day the pool was warm. The pool is a leisure pool, not a competition one so it should be pleasant. Most of the times it would be empty because, as we found out, everybody tried it once and quit. Another issue was that the room wasn't cleaned one of the days. We left at 8:00 am and came back with our daughter at 1:00 pm. At 1:00 pm I hang the "do not disturb" sign. When I complained about them not cleaning, they said that there was a "do not disturb sign". The sign was up only from 1:00 to 3:00 while our daughter took a nap. One of our two card keys didn't work. We didn't ask for a replacement because we felt we were complaining about too many things. Our reason for choosing this motel in Ashland, that costs almost twice as the neighboring motels is the pool. The pool is not serviceable.
