Hotel Guest Reviews of the Super 8 Motel - Charlotte University Area
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.March 15, 2013

It's a great place to stay during the CIAA Tournament and I will definitely stay there again!

We were not satisfied. We had many children and it was not family friendly at all. The breakfast area was always out of food. Not enough staff to handle the hotel.

Family Traveling with Young Children
This was and ok stay if you was just in and out, maybe one night. Not a good hotel if you are traveling with children in the summer because the pool was out of order. The first room I was placed in had a burning smell coming from the ac unit and it smelt like someone had been smoking, eventhough I requested a non-smoking room. The staff was polite and helpful and was willing to move us to a different room. ...

Motel met expectations. Staff was friendly enough, room was clean, location was good for what I needed. Good for business or over nights on a trip, wouldn't necessarily reccommend for families with young children.

I paid extra and reserved a Queen size bed. The hotel gave me a full size bed and when I went out to get the situation corrected, I was told that the full size bed was "their queen size bed". I told them that was unacceptable and would like the bed size I paid for and the lady at the front desk said she "didn't want things to get ugly", and if I wanted a bigger bed I would have to pay extra.

Family Traveling with Young Children
I left my number at the front desk on January 2, 2012 because the receptionist said that she would have them call me due to the issues with the room, and paying for amenities that I did not receive, they have not yet called. It took 20 min to check-in due to phone call and giving someone a work schedule, etc.

I really did not have any issues with this hotel. It is a budget-friendly hotel, so if you're stingy about the aesthetics of the room/hotel then maybe you should pay a little more for that luxury. We were on a strict budget and this hotel provided everything we needed - beds, facilities, and included breakfast. No odd smells, bed bugs, unfriendly staff, loud noises, or anything like that. ...
