Hotel Guest Reviews of the Super 8 Motel - Chatham

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Hotel was quiet and very accommodating with early check in. Staff was nice, breakfast was standard nothing special but it was good. wifi was complementary with the room, I liked seeing that.
The room was alright... You definitely get what you pay for. Chairs in room looked like they were pulled from a side walk or a dumpster. Carpet felt dirty, room didn't feel clean and fresh.

Hotel is very standard, don't expect a lot. If your just looking for an affordable bed for the night then go for it. Staff are accommodating with requests. Breakfast is good, standard... Hotel is in a good location to come and go.

It was an okay place to stay for $XX per night.
We didn't like that we were told we had to pay extra $15.00 per night for our dog even though the place was pet friendly. We did not get the king size bed because if you have a pet you cannot stay on the second floor.

It was an okay place to stay for $XX per night. Nothing fancy or special about it. We had to ask for help to turn on the heat. We could not get in when we arrived back at 2:00 a.m. as both of our keys did not work so we had to call someone to get in. The front desk is not manned 24/7. Also don't like the fees and taxes you pay when you book with priceline. In fact you could end up paying more booking with priceline because of them instead of booking with the hotel directly. Will do strict comparison next time. It is probably better to pick a place to stay rather than take whatever priceline has to offer because at least you know what you are getting. We did not get the king size bed because if you have a pet you cannot stay on the second floor. In fact we felt we were discriminated against because we had the dog. We have stayed at many hotels with our dog (King Edward in Toronto, Sheraton downtown Toronto, Motel 6, Best Western) and our dog has never caused a problem or any damage. In fact we had more problems with university students in January at the Sheraton than we have ever had. ...read more

Location close to main roads.
Cleanliness was poor, lamps dusty, only an areas of floors were vacuumed. Bed sheets were not big enough for the king bed;didn't tuck in properly. Booked room for 3 nights but had to have key cards redone each day. Cleaning staff complained about manager.

Super 8 provides a quick continental breakfast and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The upkeep over the years has been questionable so be sure to ensure your satisfaction with the room before you decide to stay. Remember you are not at a 5 star hotel, so be nice and control your expectations.

The bed was very comfortable.
General upkeep was poor. The breakfast was poor during the week and more items on the weekend.

It was cheap and that is why we stayed there. We only needed a bed.

We loved our stay here, since there were no another people in the entire motel.

It was convenient. Only stayed one night while passing through the town.
It was kept relatively clean but was very dated.

There was one very nice woman at the front desk.
Poor location, unfriendly night staff.

We arrived at midnight and had to telephone the on-call night desk person. He was clearly irritated that we interrupted his sleep and let us know it. I believe he was an owner of the hotel. The hotel was located so far off the beaten track I didn't know if we'd ever find our way back to the freeway. They provided a below-average breakfast.
