Super 8 Johnson City

The hotel was nice and the evening clerk was friendly. The Morning staff was pushy about us eating breakfast which was just a glorified continental breakfast.

It was clean, updated and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was adequate: waffles, donuts, cereal, and fruit. The towels were large, thick and absorbent! We stayed there while heading south and returned there again a week later and was met with the same service. It will remain as a way point on our GPS!

The rooms are small and the room had a bad smell to it. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in pretty-much every way. I was looking for something simple and cheap. Because it was inexpensive, I assumed it would also be sparse on the amenities and little extras, but I was pleasantly surprised. A great hotel experience.

The hotel was easy to get to and offered a clean and comfortable environment. The room was equipped with a microwave and fridge which was handy. All of the staff was friendly with the exception of one very rude front desk employee. Check out time was at 11 AM and as we were in the process of taking things to our car, we came back to the room and right at the instant the clock struck 11 the phone rang with an angry woman on the line telling us check out was at 11 and that it was now after 11. As we passed by the front desk with the rest of our things she repeatedly tapped her nails on the counter with a look of disgust on her face and upon checking out when I asked her if there were any additional charges to be paid the angry woman didn't know how to find that out. Spartan accommodations, desperately needs and update.

This was a terrible hotel! For that price, I did not expect old stains on the sheets, pillows, and hair on the towels, and there were a few blood spatters on the walls! The bathtub mat was torn and filthy, and the clothes rack was hanging precariously broken from the wall!
