Hotel Guest Reviews of the Super 8 Motel - Portsmouth/Olde Towne Area
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.March 21, 2011

AC didn't work right.
The bathtub was dirty, the
AC was broken, but it was cheaper than the other hotels in the area. The whole third floor was hot and they only had vending on the first floor to include ice. The continental breakfast was cereal, 2 choices of rolls and juice or milk. The internet was really slow on the 3rd floor but did work most the time.

it was OK and good for the price i paid and very reachable to Norfolk downtown if you do not want to stay in expensive downtown hotels, I will recommend for that price.

Just did not feel safe at night. Stayed in room and took taxi to return after dark.

Few non-smoking rooms, tiny public spaces and facilities, uncomfortable bathroom and accessories.

The hotel was safe and secure though. Not a terrible neighborhood, but its rough.

I never stayed in a hotel where I could not have an over night guest. I didn't even use the hotel rooms because I was dissatisfied with the service and management was rude and nasty. You guys gave me a call and there was still nothing you could do to help me so I wasted money.

Overall I didn't like the hotel because it was sort of dark and grimy looking and the bed was uncomfortable and low to the floor and not enough pillows. The carpet was pretty dirty and ratty looking and the desk clerk was so rude and unfriendly when we arrived almost like she wished we hadn't come in.

All floors smelled like smoke. There are ashes trays at the elevator which indicated that you can walk through the establishment and smoke at will. The All the towels need to be thrown away and replaced with new ones. The coffee was watered down.
