Hotel Guest Reviews of the Super 8 Motel Saukville Port Washington
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. The Super 8 in Saukville totally met my needs - a quiet, pleasant stay with a friendly staff. There was easy access to the freeway, and a quick 30-40 minute drive to the Milwaukee airport. The hotel has a "green" policy in which it requests not to change the sheets and towels daily, but this appears to be an option. If the hotel were more interested in going green, they could replace the plastic wrapped paper cups with real glassware / mugs.
A few minor issues: 1) there was no notepad/pen in the desk, which would have been useful for me, 2) the towels weren't high quality and not very soft, 3) no refrigerator in the room, which would have been useful, 4) the mattress pad was a simple surface pad, which kept bunching up to form a lump right where I was sleeping - Uncomfortable! - and 5) the first day or two when I turned the bathroom vent on, I could smell cigarette smoke assumedly from an adjacent room? - I was in a non-smoking room, and all the adjoining rooms were as well, according to door mounted signage. Yuck.
Despite all this, the room met my needs for an inexpensive, convenient place to stay. There were no major issues (in my humble opinion this means sound levels, bed comfort, friendly staff, and accessibility). There's even a decent continental breakfast (waffles, orange juice, cereal, muffins, coffee) with a reasonable time range. I would totally stay here again. ...

The bathroom was clean but old. The molding had cracks and the shower curten was shakey. The bed was old and sagged. The TV was fine. For the price, the room was fine. The over all experience was bad because the staff was either inexerienced or un helpful. The breakfast was out dated. I have traveled often, and cereal for breakfest isn't the norm. It would have been nice to have, at least, some donuts - not just cereal and waffels. ...

Bad hotel. First experience of Super 8 and likely the last. Dingy, dirty and terrible.

This hotel was a 2-story, with indoor hallways. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was no pool, but there was an indoor hot tub and sauna, both were
nice. The room was nice and clean. The parking lot was not best lighted, but I felt like my vehicle was safe (although I'd peek out at it in the mornings to be sure). The breakfast area was nice, and always full of people, with cereals, bagels, juices and coffee, waffle maker, etc. the plates. Plastic ware and napkins were all set down on lower shelves so that kids could easily help themselves, which I thought was nice. The travelers all seemed happy. ...

The room was pleasant and comfortable, having everything I needed. I enjoyed my overnight stay there, with my only issue being the telephone. I don't have a cell phone, and the room phone was working intermittently.

The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The room we had was small and the bed was only full-sized, but it's good value for the money. We just needed a quiet place to crash and a continental breakfast before heading to a festival, so it suited our needs very well. If you're looking for a place with a large room where you can spend a good amount of time, you might want to look for a hotel with more amenities. ...
