Super 8 Urbandale/Des Moines Area

OK. It provided what I expected. A place to sleep and shower. Nothing at all fancy, basic.

It was quiet, good price, and a very good accommodation.

It's better then sleeping in your car.

The room furnishings and bed linens were very much in need of updating. The bathroom barely had enough space to hold the shower tub and stool. The sink and mirror were short as though meant for use by someone in a wheel chair, but the bathroom would certainly not accommodate a handicapped individual.

Very clean hotel but quality is not up to the standard.

Plain and simple, avoid this hotel. The hotel staff must have worked at a K-Mart before taking their current job, as their attitude surely reflects. The building itself feels unstable as you walk through the hallway; almost like the entire sub-flooring is rotted out. The real kicker is when they run out of non-smoking rooms, they simply rip off the no smoking signs from a door and throw you in there. In general, this was the best Super 8 I have stayed in. The appearance of the place and the helpfulness of the staff was really welcome after a long day.

The hotel room was comfortable, good heat when we needed it, and close to everything we needed. I have used this hotel before and will continue to use it because its a good hotel that accepts pets.

The staff was friendly and helpful when my first room had no good signal for the internet, a no draining bathtub, and a nonworking drain plug. The staff moved my things to a new room while I was at my scheduled activities. I had forgotten to pack my nightgown. When asked if it had been found, I was told it had not. I was offered the chance to check the room myself where I found my gown. The room had been cleaned. When I mentioned that the cleaning staff had overlooked my gown, I was told that the room had not been cleaned. Does not say much for the cleaning staff.
