Hotel Guest Reviews of the Super 8 Waterloo

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Water pressure in shower was good.
Smell, cleanliness, broken beds, lumpy pillows.

The smell in this hotel was that of old smoke being covered up with multiple fragrances, the comforters had yellow stains, the blankets were dirt. There was a gap in the wall around the heater.

Mattress on my bed was sprung and uncomfortable. Cigarette smoke filled the air.

If you enjoy a smoke-free environment, this is not the hotel for you. Smoking rules weren't enforced and our room was permeated with the smell and we came home smelling of cigarettes.

Nice folks.
Heat was Not turned on in Room (40 degrees). So-So Water Pressure and drainage.

This place was okay if you like walk-to fast food and do Not stay in the room except to sleep. Still have analog TVs. Not having the heat at even a Low setting made the first impression miserable. It was totally off- so needless to say- when I came back 5 hours later it was 90 degrees in the room ( so much for saving energy ).

It has a very bad odor all through the hotel. It smelled like very bad body odor.

Staff very friendly.
The remodeling makes it noisy at times and a mess.

Convenient to many stores, malls, and restaurants. You are in the center of it all.

For the price we paid and the reason we stayed, this hotel was clean and worth the money. The hotel room was clean and the bathroom was in immaculate condition. No mold or grime anywhere in the room. The continental breakfast was good and plenty. Bring your own iron, though because there is no irons in the rooms, but you can borrow an iron and board from the front desk. If I ever come to Waterloo again, I would stay here as it worked for my family of 3. ...read more

Very clean room, bed fairly comfortable, and good location.
Reeked of cigarettes all the way to my room -- but not in the room.

Cleam room, convenient location. Smelled strongly of cigarettes in the elevator and hallway to room. Room was perfect, though -- as good as hotels I've spent twice as much at.

Rooms were clean.
There was no swimming pool as we expected causing our grandchildren great disappointment.
