Hotel Guest Reviews of the Super 8 West Springfield Route 5

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff at the desk were very nice and helpful
The linens were stained and I'm not entirely sure were changed as there was hair on them...don't sleep under motel/hotel sheets anyhow.

I can't say anything terrible about the place, it's a budget motel, you get what you pay for. The staff was accommodating and I had hot water and a bed to sleep in. The motel is under some renovations so the interior was a little askew but that is to be expected. I didn't check out unhappy and my 7 year old seemed to love it so really not a bad experience.

It was close to the location I needed to be and the least expensive room in the area.
I wasn't notified that the dining area was closed. As a result there was no continental breakfast, which I was counting on, forcing me to go hungry for the morning.

If you're in my situation and are just looking for a cheap place to crash and don't have any unreasonable expectations, then this is a fine hotel. As mentioned above the only real issue I had was that there was no continental breakfast which forced me to go hungry for the first 1/2 of the day as I was in town to take an employment related test. Apparently they were going to be putting down some flooring and the breakfast area was closed. It would have been good if there was notice of this so I could have planned extra time to get food. Beyond that, the room was decently clean and reasonably comfortable. The only flaw I could point out from a maintenance perspective was that the towel rack in the bathroom was starting to come down, but that didn't really impact me as I just took a quick shower in the morning and hit the road, I think I just hung the towel over the shower rod. The only other thing I would point out was that the room was quite dusty, not the surfaces so much as the air. This wasn't a real issue for me as I don't have any allergies or other breathing issues, but may be something to consider. Lastly, the walls between the rooms/hallway are paper thin, I could clearly hear the couple in the next room talking in reasonable indoor tones, as well as a number of others going by in the hall. All of this said, I found the bed and pillows to be clean and comfortable, and the WiFi, once I was given a correct password, was surprisingly good. In sum, you get what you pay for, (with the exception of breakfast apparently). It was cheap, clean and comfortable enough for 1 night, and it was close and easy to get to from the highway. It's not a 5 star place, (it's probably a stretch to give it 2 star status), so if you keep that in mind, it is still a decent value. ...read more

There was supposed to be a continental breakfast but when we got there, they were under construction and there was no breakfast. I was very upset by this. It should have been mentioned on the website.

Price, convinience.
Mattress a bit firm, my girlfriend had trouble, I slept fine.

Hotel definitely is workable. Great price for your average accommodations. Quick in and out, decent shower and a variety breakfast works fine for an easy inexpensive stop. Mattress was a little firm, but I actually slept great. No real hiccups.

Overall room was clean & maid service excellent.
The reservation clerk could have been a little more pleasant. At 7 am there was no hot coffee & the clerk was asleep in the office. The mattress was in need of uplifting, it caved in in the middle. There could have been a little more choice for breakfast.

The hotel overall was excellent for the price. It was located very close to the event we were there for and served us very well. It was clean. both the bathroom and the linens were clean. My only concern was trying to find the sign since it was behind other businesses and the sign was not visiable from the street

The room we stayed in had more amenities than stated on their website.
The complimentary breakfast consisted of toast.

The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, and in a very good location for travelers. What you get for the money was much more than we expected. I would stay at the hotel again.
