Being close to downtown
We booked a king sized bed and recieved a double bed. Called front desk and they told me no king beds available. . Furniture was stained and run down. Lamp shade falling apart.Bathroom was clean...

This hotel is half the price of the Holiday Inn Express in town. I only needed a clean place to sleep for the night and this fit the bill just fine. Everything is clean, the shower pressure was great, the hotel had a number of kids there for a track meet but it was quiet. I had a beer in bar/restaurant attached, but will go down the street to the BW3's for now on. There is an Applebees the other way. Anyone who rates this hotel low is just used to upscale hotels and should have paid for one. ...read more

Clean & spacious rooms. Good value
Breakfast selections were poor.

Attractive, clean and spacious rooms. Huge, updated bathroom. Well maintained lobby area. Could hear some noise from other rooms. Motel is surrounded by parking lots, so there is no green space. Convenient to university & restaurants. Pet friendly earns my approval.

Proximity to Ashland University was excellent.
The bed that rolled to the middle was not comfortable at all. The choice of breakfast items was very limited.

The Surrey Inn was fine for 1 - 2 nights, however if you plan on staying longer you may want to to go elsewhere. The spider webs in the room were unappealing and the breakfast left a lot to be desired unless you like pre-packaged pastries.
