My friends and I had a great stay for a pre-wedding get away. The Abbey was very accommodating and amenities were great.

My wife and I took a "get-away weekend" to the Lake Geneva area. I was already familiar with "The Abbey" because I attended high school nearby, and frequently dinned at "The Abbey" during those days. Our harbor-side room was very nicely appointed and we couldn't think of anything else that we needed. It was tastefully decorated in a very attractive maritime theme. It was also very quiet even though there were many other guests spending the weekend there. We also had easy access to the cities of Lake Geneva, Williams Bay, and Walworth. However, by staying at "The Abbey," we didn't have the normal problems associated with traffic, noise, parking, crime, etc. All-in-all, we were very pleased. The hotel was ok.

Beautiful surroundings; clean relaxing rooms; everything from entertainment, spa, fitness, restaurants in one location; exceptional staff.

Nice place, the spa is ridiculously overpriced - $130 for a 50 minute massage? That's more than at a nice spa in downtown Chicago. Nice for families, but the place is way too loud for a romantic getaway I would not recommend it. The rooms are quite small and though well appointed not worth the rate. I would not call it luxurious.

Although, we were there for a few cold and rainy days we were pleased with the comfort of the room and being able to have a car parked near the entrance. A friendly valet man was always there to use an umbrella to keep us dry.A cheerful bartender and waitress helped us to find a tasty late lunch. Everywhere your staff was great!

I'd stayed there quite a while ago, and it has been refurbished wonderfully.

My husband and I returned for our 25th wedding anniversary. Only disappointment was that a fruit basket was sent to our room with no card. Found out later it was our children. Quite embarassing.
