Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Baron Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Bright cheerful room. Good bed. LOW price
Hotel is about a half mile from the Dupont Circle Metro station. A little further than I anticipated.

Be aware that your room may be on the third floor - with no elevator.

We were moved from the Baron to The Harrington due to closed rooms for construction. It was a bit annoying at first to be moved at 8pm but the new hotel was closer to where I needed to be the next day.
No, the only thing is my bill showed a different price that I was quoted on Priceline (xxx on Priceline and
xxx on the bill at The Harrington, but I received a bill before I left the Baron for The Harrington and it was xxx) so I did not get the best $

Great location for tourists..2 blocks to Whitehouse, Smithsonian, Capital, war memorials...and one block to FBI, Spy Museum and Ford Theater. Had a bar/outside sitting, buffet with good food.

The hotel didn't have the following things like the website said: parking, iron, pool, elevator.

Nothing desirable
The hotel was full so they sent me to sister hotel miles away. There I was directed to a "suite" which was a room in a basement apartment with no window. I believe that I was billed for both "hotels" address this with credit card co.

Stay away.

easy in and out. some of the big hotels in DC can be a very long walk just between the parking lot and lobby! was glad after working all night to be able to walk up one flight of steps and be in my room within a few minutes.
rooms were definitely not soundproof as advertised, could hear other guests slamming doors and shouting in the morning.

Would definitely stay here again. Price was very reasonable and I found parking on the street right in front of the hotel. Convenience factor was huge on all counts.

Great location
Really small rooms, staff not super helpful, pretty sub-par breakfast.

It's definitely not a luxury resort, but my room was clean, the hotel was safe, and it's in a fantastic location. For the price that I paid it was definitely a great deal.

Location
Just about everything because the management of this hotel moved me to a run-down "sister property" of lesser value and further from my business meeting the next morning.

I cannot review this hotel because I did not stay there. I arrived to check in and they were out of rooms and moved me to a lesser "sister property." I think they oversold and since I was a late arrival time guest they moved me to the overflow location. That's bait-and-switch and not a legitimate business practice.

Location
Small rooms, poorly furnished.

Convenient to Georgetown and to DuPont Circle.

It was like being in the twilight zone, a very surreal experience. There were 4 floors and no elevators. No parking. The continental breakfast cost $5.00. We changed rooms 3 times. The first room had a horrific incredibly old lumpy mattress.
