1 of the most expensive resorts in AZ and I got in last minute at 11pm for 45% off.
Nope, I could live there.

Price is steep but once you see the resort and meet the staff, the price is nothing.

Room was great and staff extremely attentive. The classes available thru the daily access to spa were GREAT! Golf courses were challenging and beautiful. Food was terrific and very reasonably priced.
It was further from Phoenix than we expected and road work made the trip a bit longer. That is no fault of the hotel, but a comment for other guests to recognize.

The surrounding scenery is lovely and the hotel grounds are terrific for walking. There is little else to do off grounds and local sites/shopping are minimal. But we wanted a relaxing get away and that is exactly what we got. We were delighted. I would go back in a minute and am thinking of arranging a tennis get away with some of my friends!

Unique views. Comfort feeling of well being and lots of friendly attention.
Nothing.

A completely unique hotel with everything you desire complete with friendly staff that attends to all your requests promptly. This hotel consists of casitas spread over a large area to which you are transported by golf carts available promptly at your request.

The staff were incredible. The room felt like home. One of our best hotel experiences ever!

Right from the greeting at the front gate this felt good. The staff were amazing and gave you a feeling that they truly were there to be of service any way they could. The room was well laid out and "equipped"; Bose docking station, robes, etc.

We had a casita which was very well appointed and great size. Room location was fair, over looking back of golf course and
second floor.
When checking out and
desk person tried to charge us $44.

Resort grounds were strikingly dramatic, because of the unusual enormous boulders (thus the name!) all over grounds. Hotel and staff were very nice, but there was a nightly $30. resort fee which basically covered being driven to and from rooms in golf carts because resort was large and spread out. We were told it covered all gratuities, which we later found out was cart drivers and valets, not gratuities in resort restaurants. The food in the restaurants (we tried 2 at resort) was very good but we felt overpriced ($48. for 2 hamburgers, a beer and a soft drink). The Golden Door Spa was great - we took a yoga class (included in room price). Wish we had discovered it sooner. ...read more

Service is excellent! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly!
Room are looking a little drab. The spotted donkey was a let down.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful! It is a treat just to walk the grounds. Wish they had more dining options.

Excellent customer service.
Pool was dirty .

Excellent hotel. Not a kid friendly resort. The pool even had a sign that no unnecessary noise in the pool area. This hotel is extremely customer service orientated. I would recommend this resort for couples not for families with children.
