Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Brown Palace Hotel And Spa, Autograph Collection

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The location is great. The staff was very helpful. I really appreciated the complementary glass of champagne at check in.
The room was nicely decorated but the cleanliness was not up to the standard of what I expect when paying this price for a room. The bathroom had was not thoroughly clean: dust in the corners, water drips on the front of the vanity, towels not soft.

This is a fantastic landmark hotel. It is like staying in a museum. The staff are classy and very helpful. You are a very short walk from the 16 st mall with lots of shopping and restaurants. However the rooms were not quite reflective of what I would expect from a hotel in this price range. Not a great selection on the Kerig machine, towels were tacky and the bathroom needed a good deep cleaning. The public spaces and the staff along with the building itself and location make this a very special destination hotel. An experience in and of itself! ...read more

Great location. Beautiful amenities
Priceline's description VERY misleading as to sitting/living room 300 sf Queen. The ENTIRE room was 300 sf. Very small, no sitting living area. Ordered an ice bucket for wine we brought. Left for play (cont. below)...

Came back to room and we got the ice bucket we ordered along with another ice bucket with a bottle of champagne. We immediately called room service upon our return to come pick up the champagne. No one ever came. We left it untouched and when we checked out it was on our bill. They removed it from the bill but we were surprised at room service's inability to come get it for whatever reason and then charge us for it. Disappointing. We could live with that but overall... the knock is on priceline for mischaracterizing a separate sitting/living area of 300 sf in the description when in fact, the ENTIRE room was 300sf with no room to "sit or live." ...read more

I liked the classic feel of the hotel. From the front doormen to the room, it feels like old rich.

History.
Room was very small.

The history surrounding this hotel is amazing. Unfortunately, that is all it has going for it. The room was very small about 10X15, cleanliness was average at best found a baby spoon at the foot of the bed, candy wrappers next to the night stand, internet was at a price - $17.95 for 24 hours, the valet was $30/day. I would encourage anyone to visit the hotel, but don't waste your time staying there. ...read more

I liked the helpfulness of the staff.
Closet sized bathrooms, Evil spirits haunt you for real. No joke be warned, and screams heard.

This is a very old hotel and is very much haunted by evil spirits who will torment you with fear. I had no peace staying there. The bathroom like a closet very narrow as well.

Excellent service everywhere. Charming old ambiance.
The queen bed room was very small and claustrophobic; noise from the atrium came under door.

Lovely old-time ambiance, but the room - a standard queen was the smallest hotel room, I have been in in the U.S. We did not rest well in that room. Claustrophobic. And we could not change to a larger room.

Great history.
We reserved a room with king bed, but we received a queen bed, and no adjustment on price.
