The Buckingham Athletic Club Hotel

This hotel really is a jewel. It is inexpensive and very fancy. Be sure to use the athletic facilities!

The hotel itself is fantastic. Don't worry over the outdated key (non-electronic), it's charming if you let yourself be positive about it. The view is magnificent, the location is great, the staff is friendly, and after 10 hours of walking around Chicago, the hot tub couldn't be a better end to the day. This is absolutely a hidden gem in downtown Chicago.

This hotel was hard to find and in an office building not an actual hotel. Once you get passed all that, the room was great, location very sketchy

The directions to the hotel needed to mention that one should look for the famous horse statue that is mentioned in various independent documentaries about the traders who work in the pits. One should also mention that one can change in the locker area before one uses the pool or whirlpool. That way there is less of a social gaffe when one comes down the elevator to go to the other set of elevators to go to the pool. ...read more

The Buckingham Athletic Club was beautiful. The classic style and decor was fantastic. The bathroom was large with huge mirrors and large tub. There was a large bay window in the room that overlooked the city and the lake. The view was absolutely beautiful. The complimentary breakfast was decent and the staff was friendly.

Luxurious accommodations in a private club on 40th floor of the building next to the Chicago Stock Exchange. Large room, very nicely furnished. Very quiet--didn't know that anyone else was there until breakfast in the morning.

This is a beautiful hotel, but it's complicated to find and the inside is complicated to find the pool, exercise room, etc.
