Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Carolina Inn
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 15, 2012

Romantic historic hotel is great for a getaway. Just make sure to request an interior room, as the hotel is ringed by busy streets.

The Carolina Inn is in the perfect location to visit Chapel Hill. Situated right at the entrance of UNC, and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Even during the evening, we felt safe walking around the neighborhood. The staff of the hotel is professional, helpful and very considerate. Without stressing the point, I mentioned in passing it was my son's 17th birthday, and while we were out, they sent up a fruit and cheese plate for him. A very thoughtful gesture on their part. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chapel Hill. Definitely 4 stars! (we did not eat in the restaurant, so I can not comment on the dining). ...

Nice hotel with thin walls ( you can hear everything) . Cleanliness was okay, found a silverfish in the room.

Gorgeous older hotel. Built in 1924. Beautiful decor. Restaurant with excellent, but expensive food. Portions are large, I had the appetizer serving of Shrimp and Grits and it was plenty. They have turn-down service with what appears to be handmade chocolates. Valet parking is $14.00. I really enjoyed staying in this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
