Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Chattanoogan Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Upscale, friendly people (all the staff), clean, modern, roomy.
A little away from down town restaurants and tourist attractions, but shuttle was close, took cab back after 8:30pm.

This hotel was very friendly and is a 5 star rating. Room was very large, nice gas fire pit to relax outside in the court yard. All, I mean all; the people were very very courteous and attentive and could not do enough for you as a guest. Only drawback was the location to the immediate down town restaurants and other amenities. The shuttle that ran from the areas to the downtown spots shut down at 8:30 pm and we had to take a cab back. Arrangements were made thru the Hotel desk. It was $6.00 for the two of us which was good. ...read more

Great beds, pillows, towels, wash cloths, etc. Very comfortable room, except didn't have little refrigerator or microwave.

Pretty hotel, nice, but the rooms and bed size were small.
Beds were WAY too small, the bid option didn't work our this time.

The hotel is nice, it has all the good things of an upscale hotel. No direct parking, it is either in a deck a ways away or by service, both at a cost per day. The hotel on the inside was very nice, hallways kept up even with traffic, rooms were neat, but small. The room was really only big enough for one bed. The twin bed are way too small for two adults. The staff was great, very helpful. ...read more

Live music on Sat night.
Took a little longer than expected for room service.

Very nice, clean hotel. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Convenient to waterfront and Lookout Mtn.
I'd say the hotel is more along the lines of a 3.5 star

Clean hotel, rooms were comfortable. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. I would go back to it given the opportunity.

Breakfast buffet although a little pricey. Embassy suites has a better Buffet for free.
The beds were very uncomfortable and the rooms were small.

I would recommend this hotel for single business travelers and couples only. The rooms are too small for two double beds.

Breakfast buffet free for kids- good for picky children.
Could have been a little larger rooms.

Great place to stay for anyone. Nice and quiet for little nappers. Exactly 1 mile from Aquarium but the free shuttle works just fine. Free parking in a well lit garage. Nice plaza/garden area in front for pet use. Staff very friendly; they even let us keep our shih tzu in the room past check out so that we could make the Southern Belle sightseeing cruise at 10:30 so we were able to check out late without paying the fee. Huge bonus!! We even added on an extra night. Did expedia deal so it was a great deal for the price w/o taxes/fees per night. ...read more

It was pretty.
Shower head and tub drainage not 4 star quality.

It was nice, but not spectacular. I don't think a four star hotel should have any bed smaller that a queen-size, even when the room has two beds. It should also have better shower heads, not some cheap fixture that looks as if it came from a discount store. The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. My family we only there for one night, and we did not use any of the spa facilities. We normally stay at Hampton Inns because they are usually nice and there is a free breakfast buffet. My family missed that. For the price I paid, it was very nice. But if I stay in Chattanooga again with family, I will probably try to Stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites in downtown, only because it is closer to attractions and restaurants (and it has a free breakfast buffet). I think the Chattanoogan is better suited for business travelers, and maybe for a romantic weekend if you like spas. ...read more
