Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Chatwal, New York City

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Disipointed in that when we arrived at 7 pm they informed us that they had a guest not leave as scheduled. They put us up in 4 star close by for night. Gave complimentary breakfast next day. Staff very courteous, great location, nicely appointed rooms
Rooms small for star rating

they moved us to an "upgraded" suite... not an upgrade in our minds but rather two separate rooms... not what we needed/wanted. We had requested a king bed but ha to sleep on a double!
Not sure if Priceline's fault but it appears that they gave us less consideration than other guests who booked directly. very disappointed

The reception staff were so lovely and hospitable, especially the ladies. I found the gentleman somewhat off-putting, possibly because we got a great price through priceline. All support staff were fantastic and ready to assist, esp Jacques @ the bar.
The first room we had (405) the bathroom wall was shared with another bathroom, and as such I could hear all that the other people were doing when in use. That was quite unpleasant. Soundproofing absolutely required.

We were the perfect distance from Times Square, with great bars, restaurants and even a convenience store only steps away. The hotel deco is just beautiful all around. Great restos: McCormick's, Westville, Carmine's, Frankie's and Arturo's. Loved the walk on the HIgh LIne through the West Village and along the East side. NYC is amazing!!

The rooms were great. The shower and bed especially!!
Hotel check-in time felt sort of late at 4pm. Room service menu was very pricey.. $11 for orange juice.. we had a very expensive breakfast bill :)

The hotel was wonderful. The location couldn't have been better, the staff at the hotel were really helpful and nice, and the rooms were very comfortable and luxurious.

The bathroom was fantastic - especially the toilet!
I did not want a queen bed. I ended up having to pay more to get a king.

This hotel is very luxurious if you have a King Room or two bed room. The queen room is quite compact. The beds are not the most comfortable, but good enough. Room service was quick and friendly. The bathroom was to die for. The location was fantastic - near subways, theaters, restaurants, shopping.I would totally recommend the hotel, but not with the queen room.

The hotel was in a great location. Once we arrived the staff was wonderful and did everything they could to make us feel welcome.

The pool is a 1 person lap pool. The toilets have heated seats.
