Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Copley Square Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff was very accomodating and the locaton was perfect for our needs.
They did not have 2 double beds available when we checked in, so because they're were 3 of us, one of us had to sleep on the floor. The second night we were moved to 2-bed room

What we liked best about the hotel is.....(1) The location is very convenient to many attractions by either walking, or easy access to the T. (2) Every member of the staff was exceptionally courteous and welcoming. (3) The "old" and "new" of it.
Only negative is small room size. This is a beautiful, vintage hotel which has been modernized, including reducing square footage to give each room its own bath. Our King Bed Room seemed more pleasant than our son's Queen; more windows/light, more space

We had an enjoyable 3 night stay at this lovely hotel. We appreciate something different than the usual hotel room, and this met our expectations. The decor and atmosphere give a calm feeling of a modern vibe and traditional B&B fusion, all in the city. It has character! Each person was helpful, accommodating, meeting every request, and making us comfortable and welcomed. The location is ideal, making walking and/or taking the T very easy. Convenient to so many restaurants, shops, Copley Square, Boston Library, Fenway Park, Ducks Tours, The Skywalk Observatory, Hynes Convention Center, plus much more! It was relaxing to return to the hotel, and our room each day. ...read more

The hotel was perfect, especially the staff. They were so friendly and really helpful, offering great ideas on the area, food to eat, and things to do (and not do). I would most definitely stay here again, and recommend it wholeheartedly to others!

The room was very stylishly decorated. Modern, rich dark colors. Impeccably clean, with perfect temperature.

the location was terrific and the hotel was lovely. Our original room was VERY small so I upgraded for the second bed since we were 2 ladies travelling together. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Nothing that can be easily changed since it is an old hotel. I found the lighting to be a bit low and as a short person with poor eyesight, it was hard to reach the bathroom mirror which was the only place with better lighting.

great location - free wifi - lots of local shopping - close to Thorntons, a great inexpensive breakfast/lunch place - close to the T for transportation. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. When it rained, they had umbrellas available for us to borrow as guests which was a bonus!

Location
1 Very dark , 2 small rooms, 3 . $ 30. charged to get two doubles, 4 paid XXX. for "overnight" parking instead of 24 hour parking which is offered at all other locations within that neighborhood therefore I had to pay an additional $16. after 2

Great location, wine tasting from 5-6 pm, coffee in the morning (whoopee), parking was a scam ,

The location of this hotel is the best. there are at least 3 T station are near by. Some of the major tour attractions are very close to the hotel. It is really one ore two blocks away.
This hotel public area is bit small. Not enough space when group tourist come at once.

One tip. book this hotel through price line and call to the hotel directly and ask about upgrade. Breakfest menu is really good at the restaurant on the ground floor. Staff are super friendly. If you are thinking drive your car and park at the hotel I would say no. parking per night is about $47. Take 100 Cleardon st. public parking instead. When you print out discount cupon you'd only pay $27 per 24h. ...read more

The location was great. Right in the center of things. Could not have been better
1) Stains on carpet, furniture, bed sham. 2) Noise from club 3) Bathroom antiquated. 4) Smell of cigarette smoke in room. 5) Staff more interested in looking chic than friendliness. Not consistent. 6) Despite paid upgrade, largest room still small.

If you are claustrophobic, do not stay here. The renovation allowed for many rooms, rather than comfort. Service is more for the "Minibar" crowd, with a manager handing his card out to young things in the Minibar than attending to guest concerns. At one point, was dancing to the music. Embarrassing. If you like the "W" vibe, this place may be for you, but then again the Boston "W" is the real thing. This place needs to decide what it is- a luxury hotel with small rooms, or a place for young things to hang out at night. As of now, it is a failure at both. Location is wonderful! ...read more

Bed quality.
This is old hotel with really bad bathroom.

This is not a 4 star hotel. The cheapest rooms are very small with the one queen bed and small and old fixtures bathroom.

Great location with regard to the "Boston experience". It had the city bikes right down the block.
Hard to get to with the GPS I had. Valet Parking only?! A XXX-XXX room should come with parking instead of the $43 upcharge... Room was small. No view. I expected that though...
