Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Driskill

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Lots of history.

Great location in the heart of the entertainment district, the driskill is the oldest hotel and is just lovely in every way.

The elegance and beauty of the hotel was breathtaking.
Loved all of it.

This hotel is very elegant and rooms were stocked perfectly and beautifully. The staff was very friendly and this was much better than I even imagined.
Will definitely recommend it.

The golden ceiling engravings were carved with much detail and history.
The rotating fan in our room looked like it was about to fall off the ceiling.

Driskill Hotel has fantastic customer service. They are friendly, hospitable, and will do all it takes to make your stay in Austin the best one you've had yet. I would come again - definitely.

the gym was good
It was old and felt dirty. Staff was not trained to be helpful

It was ok. Too old for my tastes and the hotel staff was not accommodating. They didnt even have a free cup of coffee after 9 am!

Classic looking yet up to date with accents and extras.

They seem to have maintained a good yesteryear feel in the hotel inside and out. The rooms are modern looking with a rich and classic look about them. Very nice!

The lobby.
The room, and way too small.

While the hotel was nice, the room was tiny; the size of a large closet. A queen bed was in the room and filled the area with about 18 inches of clearance of two of the sides and 3 feet on the exit side. Really horrible.

Historical value.
Roach in bathroom!.

Overall good experience. The bed was wonderful with very plush mattress and pillows. The bathroom had much charm, with a good shower and tub. Cleaning service employees were very friendly. Front desk was not so friendly along with Concierge.
