Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Embassy Row Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Superb location - right off of Dupont Circle. Wonderful breakfast. Great for business or personal travel.
Parking was expensive.

location & breakfast
Mildew on ceiling in bathroom, cloth shower curtain had mildew all along bottom, no vent filters and you could see inside through grid and dust was very thick.

The rooms are okay, but the staff is great. They have a very nice breakfast and the location is fabulous. The hotel is older and I would never pay over
XXX a night to stay there. They only have valet parking for which you will find out after you check in that they are going to charge you $35 for parking plus $6 in taxes and fees.

THE ROOMS WERE REAL COMFORTABLE. THEY HAD GOOD SERVICE FOR WHAT YOU PAID FOR. WAS GOOD FOR A BUSINESS TRAVELER. ROMANTIC ALSO. COMFORTABLE BED.
A SMALL PET DISLIKE IS THAT THE SHOWER DID NOT HAVE REAL HOT WATER. I LIKE IT HOT BUT IT WAS NORMAL HOT.

IT WAS REAL CLOSE TO MANY THINGS. POST OFFICE. CVS. SPA. WHATEVER.

This hotel is in a perfect location. It is located one block from the Metro which provides easy access to all of Washington. DuPont Circle is a great place to dine and shop. Lots of things are going on in this area.
No

The Embassy Row is an older hotel but it is in good condition. It is somewhat worn. This did not affect our opinion of the hotel as it is in an ideal location. The price included breakfast and wi-fi which was a plus. The hotel is in a good area and we felt safe at all times. There is plenty to do in the DuPont Circle area and access to the Metro makes it easy to maneuver around the city from the hotel. There are numerous restaurants in the area and lots of neighborhoods to explore. ...read more

1. Great location. Very close to Metro which made commuting very easy. 2. Breakfast was included which saved lot of time in the morning and of course expenses.
The very first night room had a queen bed, in spite of calling the hotel well in advance. Unacceptable noise level in this room. The next night onwards room was changed to king bed.

The location was great and most of the staff were quite accommodating.
The desk clerk was in training and was not the friendliest. My baggage was lost on my flight for two days, and when I asked if there were any emergency supplies he could give me (like a toothbrush) he could only find a sewing kit...?

The hotel location was great, in DuPont circle, and was within walking distance to all DC attractions.

Worked out really well. Great location. Helpful and accommodating staff. The rooms are a little tired, but the beds are great! Good breakfast included. More substantial than your basic "continental"
I wish i knew the type of bed I had booked, but that wasn't possible on Priceline. i got a King and preferred 2 doubles.

Hotel is in great location. Close to Metro. The staff was accommodating as they could be. We wanted 2 doubles as I was travelling with my teenage son, so they offered us a cot in the room for no charge and they gave us a room with 2 doubles when one became available. I have no complaints!

great location, nice views out the window of nearby embassies and looking down on parts of DC that are lower height.

Location was exactly what we were looking for. Interactions with staff were minimal, but fulfilled our requests quickly and correctly. Free breakfast was good, but wanted some sort of meat selection.
The actual room, itself, needed some TLC. There were a couple of spots where the wallpaper was peeling, and the end tables were very worn. The TV reception was very bad in a few channels.

My wife and I were looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the DuPont Circle area of DC for our vacation. The Embassy Row Hotel delivered, though the hotel was far from perfect. The location was exactly what we were looking for, immediately off the circle. Access to the Metro was as close as turning the corner, and the dining choices within a 5 minute walk was staggering. The room, itself, needed some TLC, though. There were a couple of spots where the wallpaper was beginning to peel, and the end tables were very worn. The rest of the room was fine enough to overlook that, and, after our trip in, I didn't want to make a fuss.Free breakfast was OK, but could have used some meat choices.Overall, location was great, room and amenities were OK. ...read more
