Family Traveling with Young Children
The rooms are okay, but the staff is great. They have a very nice breakfast and the location is fabulous. The hotel is older and I would never pay over
XXX a night to stay there. They only have valet parking for which you will find out after you check in that they are going to charge you $35 for parking plus $6 in taxes and fees.

The Embassy Row is an older hotel but it is in good condition. It is somewhat worn. This did not affect our opinion of the hotel as it is in an ideal location. The price included breakfast and wi-fi which was a plus. The hotel is in a good area and we felt safe at all times. There is plenty to do in the DuPont Circle area and access to the Metro makes it easy to maneuver around the city from the hotel. There are numerous restaurants in the area and lots of neighborhoods to explore. ...

Family Traveling with Teens
Hotel is in great location. Close to Metro. The staff was accommodating as they could be. We wanted 2 doubles as I was travelling with my teenage son, so they offered us a cot in the room for no charge and they gave us a room with 2 doubles when one became available. I have no complaints!

My wife and I were looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the DuPont Circle area of DC for our vacation. The Embassy Row Hotel delivered, though the hotel was far from perfect.The location was exactly what we were looking for, immediately off the circle. Access to the Metro was as close as turning the corner, and the dining choices within a 5 minute walk was staggering. The room, itself, needed some TLC, though. There were a couple of spots where the wallpaper was beginning to peel, and the end tables were very worn. The rest of the room was fine enough to overlook that, and, after our trip in, I didn't want to make a fuss.Free breakfast was OK, but could have used some meat choices.Overall, location was great, room and amenities were OK. ...
